Vol. 14 - Chapter 12: Abaddon; the Power of the Tenth Hour

Part 1 – A few minutes ago

(BBBOOOMM, CCRRAASSHHH)

Katsumi and the others hear the massive explosions occurring in Sun City, they are been stalled by the Third Hour, Dimitru. Katsumi runs out of patience and walks forward;

"I´ve had enough; I need to go help Uriel!"

"Katsumi wait, if you walk forward, he will kill you." Allan says with a nervous tone, Katsumi continues to walk as she says:

"I don't care if you are the Third Hour, if I have to fight you in order to help Uriel, I will."

Katsumi points her katana to Dimitru, Dimitru without any expression begins to say; "You dare point a sword at me, where are you manners? I should kill you right now."

Everyone looks at Dimitru with fear as he raises his manna, Katsumi doesn't hesitate and keeps her posture, Dimitru looks at her confident expression and sigh with his eyes close:

"Very well, if you want to help your friend that badly then I will not interfere, after all, I came here to observe not to wage war."

Katsumi lowers her katana and says; "Thank you!"

"Before you move on, I have a question for you. Why would you go that far in order to help him?" Dimitru asks Katsumi, Katsumi blushes at first and left speechless, she takes a deep breath and looks at Dimitru:

"It´s because I love that man!"

Everyone else is in shock, Heidi smiles and thinks; "You finally had the guts to admitted, I´m proud of you."

"I can't believe I said it out loud." Katsumi´s face turns red and covers it with her hands.

"Hahaha, I looks like my Granddaughter has some competition for him, I can't wait to tell her." Director Inoue laughs, Allan looks at him saying; "This is no time for jokes."

"Love ehh, I don't understand that word but I will let you pass. Allan Carter, you should go as well." Dimitru points at Allan who nods in agreement, Heidi steps forward saying; "I will go as well"

"Wait Heidi, you can´t…" Allan tries to stop her but Heidi smiles; "I won't let my husband die today…" Allan blushes as he is left speechless.

Shion stands up and says; "Senpai, I will go as well, I will follow you till I die."

Rizu and Director Inoue look at the injure and Rizu says; "I will stay here to protect them, and Director Inoue."

"Just for of you, very well, you shall go with my permission." –SNAP- Dimitru snaps his fingers making the four of them disappear.

In the present, Director Inoue feels the power that Heidi and Allan are emitting, Dimitru looks at the Director and says; "I will be going now, I need to be in another point. I only sent them to see what they could do against Darius, but know this, they are no match for Darius, he is in a whole different level."

"Wait, Dimitru, before you go I have a question, what is the Enlightened after?"

Dimitru begins to disappear as he replies; "We seek only illumination to this world, until we meet again, Director Inoue"

Part 2 – In the Battlefield

"My father is going to get serious now, he summoned one of the 16 treasures, and this means we need to move now." Aleister says to all of them, Marjorie looks at the screen and asks:

"Why do we need to go?"

"Because, the borderland will be destroyed now." Aleister replies with a frightened smile.

In the battlefield, the tides of the battle have turned as Darius makes an unexpected summoning; he creates a portal above his head and makes a weapon appear.

A golden mace appears with a large sphere on the top with spikes coming out of it. The tips have shape of a spear and the blade in shape of a round axe. The bottom part was also a spear.

"That can´t be, why do you have it?" Allan asks with a frightened expression, Darius laughs and replies; "Because we stole it 8 years ago from the Vatican."

"Katsumi, is that the Sharur?" Uriel asks with a face full of shock, Katsumi nods in agreement, Shion asks with a clueless expression; "What´s that? I don´t understand?"

"Sharur, he Smasher of Thousands; an ancient weapon used by the Mesopotamian God Niurta, it is said that it destroyed entire civilizations with its power. It´s classified as one of the 16 Treasures and it was hidden in the Vatican until 8 years when it was stolen. Now I know who has it." Katsumi explains with a shaky voice, Uriel chuckles and says:

"I thought they were only myths but I guess I wrong, they do exists. You said 16 treasures, you mean there are 15 more terrifying things scattered throughout the world?"

"That´s right, from gems to crowns to swords. The 16 treasures are a danger and that´s why they secure." Heidi replies to Uriel, Darius laughs as he says;

"That´s right, right now, the Enlightened has 4 out of the 16 Treasures. Our mission is to gather them, but enough of this, let me show you how powerful this thing is." Darius lifts the Sharur up and it begins to charge from manna in the air. The sharur begins to release energy similar to lightning. Darius wings the sharur to the ground with force;

(BBBBBBOOOOOMMM)

The Sharur causes a massive shock wave in the ground, making a wave similar to an earthquake. Causing the earth to crack and create massive wind extending towards the mountains. As the earthquake ends, everyone looks at Darius with terror as he laughs:

"Did you like that? That was only 10% of its power. But for right now, because you have pushed me this far, I will only use my fists to take you down."

Darius makes the sharur go to the sky, high above until it disappears from sight as it begins to charge with manna, causing the clouds to form around it. Allan looks at it and explains; "What are you doing right now?"

"Oh, don't concern yourself with that for now, I will show you later. For now pay attention to this." Darius creates a portal on his chest and takes out his heart.

(BADUMP, BADUMP, BADUMP)

Shion puts her hands in her mouth with fear and asks; "Is that your heart?"

"Indeed, now pay attention to this seal can you see it?" Darius points at the seal in his heart, the seal has a form of a cross with a circle surrounding it. Uriel asks; "What is that tag for?"

"This is meant to prevent me from unleashing my true form. You see in order considered a "Doomsday Hour", one must have power, and I don't mean only wealth and fortune, I mean true power!" Darius closes his eyes and begins to chant; "Merciful king, release this seal in order to punish the unfaithful under your name."

"Heidi create a fire now, we need to prevent him from transforming." Allan charges hits the ground with his right arm, (DDDIIINNNNGGG). The piece of earth where Darius was standing begins to elevate, Heidi throws a fire ball with Allan intensifying it. Darius smiles and says; "It´s too late; Maledicite terrae sigillum release" (Curse seal release)

(BBBBOOOOMMM)

The flames hit Darius causing an explosion in midair. Only the smokescreen is seen as Shion asks; "Did that work?" Uriel turns around and screams; "Don't say that, that´s bad luck."

(CCCRRAAASSHHHH)

A ball of manna is released causing the flames to disappear, the ball breaks releasing a dense manna changing the environment. Everyone begins to feel chills in their spines as the moon begins to darkened, the clouds begin to release lightning as they illuminate a devilish figure in the center of the manna.

Juan and Alexa look at the action as Alexa asks with a frightened voice; "What´s going on father? What monster is that?"

"This is no good mija, that thing is a knight of hell. We must retrieve now" Juan opens a portal and both of them leave the place.

The manna orb gets absorbed revealing a demonic being with a much more muscular body. The being has two large wings, a gray colored skin with purple cracks in its body. It feet are similar to those of a goat with a pointy tail coming out. The demon has two large horns coming out of its head. It has yellow mustard eyes with claws coming from each finger.

The being slowly begins to descend with everyone looking at him with a frightened expression. Shion falls back with fear and tears in her eyes. Katsumi is paralyzed to see that being. Uriel looks scare as well because of the amount of manna it has. The demonic being begins to speak:

"What´s the matter? Does the true form leaves you paralyzed? It´s me Darius."

"How can you be Darius, what are you?" Allan asks with a face full of shock, Darius laughs as he explains:

"Let me explain, my name is Darius Salome Lucifugus. I am a descendant of the knights of hell, the Abaddon. We Abaddon serve the kings of hell, you know one of them Uriel. Melissa Lucifugus, Leviathan."

Uriel remembers the strange manna he felt when he was with Melissa. Darius continues to explain:

"I have the pure blood of an Abaddon, which means that I have the power to destroy this world with my fists. Allow me to give you a demonstration."

Darius charges manna in his left arm and releases a small ball that heads towards the river. The small ball begins to expand and it begins to destroy Rio Grande City completely.

(BBBOOOOOOOMMMM)

In a blink of an eye, Rio Grande City disappeared from earth leaving no survivor, Darius lowers his hand and looks at Uriel; "I´m sorry, I got carry away that I destroyed the city, but I did you a favor by erasing the dead people located at the river."

Uriel looks with his eyes wide open and his mouth open as well as he witness catastrophe. Shion begins to cry out of fear. Darius expands his wings and says:

"Now you saw the power I possessed and I am still the 10th hour, I was once the 4th but your father ruined everything. Uriel, let's begin with the next round shall we…"

Darius disappears from everyone´s sight and appears in front of Allan.-PPPUUUMMM- Darius kicks Allan in the stomach and sends him flying to a building with great force. Heidi tires to react and freezes the oxygen surrounding Darius, Darius swings his wings blowing everyone away.

"GYYYAAHHH" Katsumi screams as she flies but Uriel grabs her and Shion. Darius charges straight at Heidi trying to connect a blow.

(BOOM, BOOM, BOOM)

Darius continues to attack with Heidi evading him. She sees that there is a lot of dust in the air and thinks; "There no wind now, I will use this opportunity now."

Heidi extends her arms and begins to chant; "Thermische Verbrennung" (Thermal Combustion)

(BBBBBOOOOOMMMM)

The dust surrounding Darius explode causing a chain of massive explosion in he area. Heidi lands in her back and goes down a few meters until she stops. She stands up breathing heavily as she says; "That was a massive dust explosion, that should´ve killed him."

"Not quite" Heidi hears a voice coming from behind; she sees a portal opening and sees Darius coming out of it. She begins to retreat with fear as Darius speak; "I understand your ability now. You control the thermal heat of your surroundings, in other words, you can freeze and heat any object you want. Right now you heated the dust particles causing them to combust creating a chain of explosions."

Heidi is left paralyzed as Darius extends his hand towards her. In the other side, Shion continues to heal Uriel, however she has her hands shaking making it impossible to heal. Uriel sees both her and Katsumi in fear, Uriel who also feel fears grabs Shion´s hand and says;

"Thank you for helping me but I am alright now."

"W-w-wait I´m not finished yet." Shion says with a shaky voice, Uriel smiles and replies; "You must save your energy, I´m not the only one who you will help now."

"Katsumi, I want you to stays still okay, because he is coming." Uriel stands up, suddenly Darius falls down with an explosion that causes massive wind to blow. The dust cloud clears revealing Darius grabbing an unconscious Heidi from her hood.

"HHHEEEIIIDDDIII" Katsumi screams of fear, Darius chuckles; "Don't worry, she not dead. I don't like to kill weakling like her, here catch…" Darius throws Heidi towards Katsumi, Katsumi grabs her, Heidi cough up blood meaning that she is alive.

"SHION HEAL HER…SHION!" Katsumi screams but Shion is paralyzed as she sees Darius standing in front of her. Uriel grabs her shoulder causing her to turn and see him; "Look I know that you're scared, I´m scared too, but right now you must help Heidi and Katsumi."

Darius charges preparing to attack Katsumi with his fist, Uriel jumps in front of her and blocks the punch.

(BBBBBOOOOMMM)

"I´m your opponent" Uriel says to Darius as he blocks the punch, Darius smiles; "I knew you would do that, I also want to fight you, not those weaklings. Defend yourself Uriel."

(PPPPUUUMMM)

With his other hand, Darius punches Uriel sending flying to the right side where a building is located. Darius expands his wings and with great speed charges directly at Uriel. Katsumi grabs Heidi and begins to run pulling Shion; "We need to heal her now, or she will die."

Shion nods in agreement as she says; "Right, I´ll do my best."Darius heads towards Uriel, Uriel appears with his pistol as he chants; "La Estrella" (The Star), -PIU,PIU- Uriel fires a bullet that multiplies in to 100 hundred.

Darius flies evading each bullet, Uriel fires again chanting; "La Araña" (The Spider) , the bullet turns into a net, gets trapped by it, however he easily breaks it. –PPPUUMMM- Darius with his knees hits Uriel seinding to the building wall. Darius attacks Uriel before he falls forcing him into the building. Suddenly, multiple explosions go upward until the ceiling explodes as well.

Darius flies grabbing Uriel´s neck, Uriel tries to break free but he is running out of breath. "What´s wrong, are you done already, I still have 5 minutes before my masterpiece begins." Darius lets go of Uriel and with his two hands together forming a fist hits Uriel forcing him down the building destroying it completely.

(BBBBBBOOOOOMMM)

Uriel breathes heavily as he sees Darius charging one more time, Uriel stands up and uses manna in his feet to jump sideways evading Darius. Darius charges at Uriel one more time but a trailer hits him forcing him to fly into the sky.

"Sorry, but I´m still fighting Darius, don't forget about me." Allan walks to Uriel´s side, as he takes a battle stance. "Ready Uriel, now it's time for our counterattack."
