Gao Chaoxiang Listened carefully to Lu Fang's story. It was a tale about a boy who had lost his father and mother at a young age. He was told many good qualities about the boy until he grew up to be a fine young man. After many years, the boy found out that his father was alive.
The father had no memory about his family and that of his son. Fate had wronged him in many ways, making him unrecognized his past, including himself.
Towards the end of the story, Lu Fang asked, "Mr. Kang, what do you think is the best way to reunite the father and son?"
Gao Rou's father pondered on the question for minutes, but soon said, "I guess, it would be best to give the truth slowly… if remembering is not possible - I mean, I for one. If I had a son whom I don't remember, I would hate myself. I would pity myself."
