Leo's phone rang and interrupted the moment. He frowned in annoyance and was going to ignore it.
"You should answer it." She pushed him by his chest and sat up. "If anyone would call at such a time of the night, it has to be something urgent." She thought, since it was just a few minutes to midnight.
He frowned but reached for his phone that was on a nearby bench. When he saw the caller-identity, his annoyance was apparent. "It's that woman."
'What woman?' She wondered. "Your mum?"
He nodded coldly, as though he was talking about an enemy instead of his biological mother. It was obvious just how horribly their relationship was deteriorating every day.
