Cultivators, Just like it's name, It's a power that develop from their their own roots within their bodies called spiritual roots. From there a high-level cultivator could judge whether the person was strong or weak from the Qi flow around the person, from there they will cultivate their strength little by little like tending plants.

When the roots become strong, the body naturally becomes stronger as well, this also increases their five senses to superhuman levels depending on how high their cultivation is and when these people reach high-level cultivation they would able to feel the slightest change around them, and their instinct becomes sharper.

However, the same thing cannot be said for Gifted people, even though they also train their bodies it would not be beyond the point against human ability until they cast a spell to boost on superhuman level.
