Chapter 10: The Lead

Adam Florenz's POV

After the dinner date last night and some confession from Fauna that she never had any lovers in her life, I was beyond happy. I was excited to be the first and the last man that will share her bed. I was smiling as I was walking inside the station.

"morning Lieutenant," Dean said as he was standing from the reception. I did not bother by him anymore because he was just a lying piece of shit. I walked through the station as I was walking to my table. I saw there was a list of names for the new drug testing.

"Is this the latest one?" I asked my partner as he nodded at me. I went to sit on the chair as I was scanning the names. They were mostly men and when I searched the names on the internet, it was the most privileged kid on the block and many more.

I was drumming my fingers as I was thinking about the motive of the drug. Why man? Why a wealthy man? Why the heir of the multinational companies?
