Inian looked at the dead bodies of the exosuit soldiers he killed. No wound was visible on their body, but their eyes were wide open still.
No one remained on the Western Front of the battlefield. Inian was alone and felt the ever-pressing pain of standing alone on this field.
'The Ranid Kingdom ran away from me too, is there anyone who's not afraid of me?'
He flew back up into the air and launched himself towards the center of the massive battle.
There, Irigia's main force was stationed and fighting against the bulk of the Trostan Kingdom's forces.
Some of Irigia's cannons were firing up at ships flying overhead, trying to shoot them down. Irigia's automatons were strong but didn't have the thinking capacity of the enemy's exosuit soldiers, and so the automatons' numbers dwindled.
Inian looked around to see where he could be the most helpful. He decided he would take out the enemy's air superiority first, then take out the ground forces.
He gathered electricity in his hand and shot it towards one of the incoming aircraft. The lightning snaked between different flying ships and exosuit soldiers, taking out at least a dozen before dying out.
Inian flew even higher and shot lightning left and right out of his hand towards any enemies that were left.
Several tried to fight back, but they had no chance to damage Inian, let alone dodge his lightning or other abilities.
Inian looked at his hand, 'can I do that again?'
He landed on the ground and grabbed an enemy soldier that was near him. Once again, the soldier became limp in Inian's hand as the life drained out of him.
That same feeling went through Inian like it did the first time. It felt like his body was reaching out and grabbing something.
Every single body within 100 meters of Inian fell to the ground dead. There were close to 500 soldiers next to him, and in a moment their lifeless eyes reflected up towards Inian.
He dropped the soldier he was holding onto. Seeing all those body drops at once gave Inian a chill in his bones.
Inian flew back up into the air and continued firing lava balls or lightning bolts at enemies.
He ended up killing thousands of the Trostan Kingdom's forces before they sounded the retreat.
After going to help the Eastern front, Irigia's forces could declare this battle to be an overwhelming victory.
Back in the Queen's tent, Inian stood in front of the Queen while she was contemplating something. "I thank you for your help Inian, but many other soldiers and I still blame you a bit for causing this ruckus in the first place. Sadly, I cannot let you back into Irigia until you kill off the remaining descendants."
Inian's jaw dropped, "why?! I know that I went crazy and couldn't control my powers, but I just broke through into the behemoth level. Please, I just want to see Janae again."
The Queen shook her head, "I'm sorry, Inian. If I let you back into my country, then all of Irigia is going to be in an uproar. They would most likely try to hurt Janae to prevent you from making a move. So for now, the best option is for you to stay out of Irigia, and especially Preah."
Inian felt despair creep up his spine, 'I can't see Janae? What if I can't defeat the descendants?'
The Queen saw the look in Inian's eyes and went to pat his shoulder, "that doesn't mean we will leave you with no help. Of course, Burt has been fighting me when I ordered him to return. He would like to stay with you, and I'm going to supply you one hundred of our model one automatons. That's almost our entire unmanned force."
Inian looked at the Queen's face, "thank you. I'll make sure to kill those descendants and return victorious. Please tell Janae that I will be back as soon as I can."
The Queen looked as if she wanted to say something but then stopped herself, "okay Inian. I will."
He nodded and walked out of the tent. A close advisor of the Queen stepped forward, "your majesty, if I may be so bold, I think you made the right decision in not telling him."
The Queen sighed, "It would only distract him, but even so, I'm not sure if it was the right choice."
