It's been a few days since the event in the forest. Luckily, besides the group involved, no one knew what truly happened. We each made excuses and lies for our bruises and why we are missing for a period of time. Oddly enough the teacher became weird ever since that day. At first, I thought she knew what happened but it quickly subsides after hearing her say "Old and single" repeatedly after class. My mom still acted normal as if nothing happened. Well was... because she got a call today that her father, my grandfather, is going to visit today. She's been running back and forth throughout the house cleaning, swiping, moving things, and preparing refreshments.
If I haven't mentioned already, it seems like my hair grew back to being normal in just a night's rest. Which is quite unique so I may have to check up on it later.
*Ding* *Ding*
The doorbell rang loudly. As soon as the sound came out my mother started to pale, slowly walking towards the door. She opened the door, seeing a middle-aged man dressed up in a suit. Lushy green hair with a mixed in of white strands visible from all parts of his hair. As soon as the man looked at my mom, he suddenly became like a dog that has finally found his owner after years.
"Inkwoo-chan~~," said the man as he tackled my mom. "You know how much I missed you." He continued with a tear. 'I guess that's where my mom got her personality from... just a bit different.' I thought.
"*Cough* Father you should stop. We still need to explain things to Izuku," said Inko with embarrassment.
"Oh, yea," said Morito excitedly. He looked at me with a very sketchy expression. Suddenly he picked me up with his hand and started hugging me like a mad man. "Ohhh, my grandson. How long have I waited to have one. I mean although you have that bastard's blood you are still my grandson." he blurted out with no sign of stopping.
"Now, now. Let Izuku have his rest. He just came back from school. Go take a seat from the living room while I brew tea for the both of you. It would be a long talk." Inko said after looking at my struggles. It seems like she as well faced the same problem before.
Thankfully, my grandfather stopped with the mad man's hug but still kept on carrying me. All the way towards the living room as he put me down to my seat.
Minutes later...
Awkward silence crept all throughout the room as my proclaimed grandfather seated in one of the couch. My mother slowly brought us tea, putting it on the table in front of us.
"Hmm. How do I start this." Said Morito as his expression slowly turned seriously. "My name is Morito Midoriya, the CEO of Moriya. The father of Midoriya Inko... I am your grandfather." He said before stopping. For some odd reason, I could hear a person saying 'You are not my father from the distance.'
"I could accept that. But I remember the guy saying setting about a 'pact' for my hospitalization." I asked. Pondering what it could be.
"Seems like my underling said way too much," Morito muttered under his breath before looking at me. "You see, the hospital that I put you in is something you could only get in through prestige and wide connections." He paused, standing up slowly walking away towards the window. "I have to make you the next in line for succeeding over my spot. Additionally, I have to engage you to the daughter of the owner of the hospital."
"Engagement? Don't you really think it's way too early father? And don't just sell Izuku like that." Inko said worriedly.
"Nothing is too early for engagement. I was engaged with your mother as soon as I was conceived." Morito replied with a chuckle.
"I'm okay with that but," I cut in. "When will I meet this person? I think being engaged and all need us to know each other first."
"Haha, that's the spirit, my cute grandson. We will publicly announce your engagement next week. We will hold a banquet and you will be the main star of it so make sure you prepare well."
"S-sure," I replied nervously. 'I mean isn't this a bit too fast? One day I was a kid now a prince?' I thought. My grandfather, as if realizing what I feel, assured me.
"Don't worry my sweet grandson. If she is ugly I wouldn't have let you had an engagement with them." He said with a smug grin.
"Hey! Don't corrupt my baby." Inko said as she hugs me from behind. "If you didn't like her, just notify me and I will make sure the engagement won't go through," she assured me silently. 'They really got me wrong.' I thought.
"It seems like we are overloading my sweet grandson a little bit too much. Let's just catch up from what has been happening for the past few years." My grandfather said, changing the topic. My mother looked at me.
"Izuku, you should probably go to your bed for now. Me and your grandfather will have a rather long talk," she said. For the last part, I swear I saw her smile deviously.
I went ahead and go to my room. I jumped in front of my bed and started to think about what they said, and of course, my plan for my quirk to. I ignored the loud scolding I could hear just outside.
Let's start with my quirk. My quirk is very weak. Some might say it's super strong as I won't need to worry about dying but I feel like it is lacking in terms of explosive strength. I wouldn't have the agility to save people nor have the power to stop villains. I would only have the durability to survive in fights.
The good thing is that I could improve the quality of my muscle. This means I have the flexibility to improve in which areas I need to improve.
First, let's slowly train our agility. But that would need specific resources. Maybe ask my grandfather for someone to teach me martial arts. As for why I am not focusing on strength and mass first is because it might affect my growth. I still don't know if my quirk removes that limit but better be safe than never.
Another thing is diet. As an upcoming CEO of a popular filming franchise, image is something I need to work on. Besides a good diet can also improve my strength. For that, I need a lot of money. That shouldn't be a problem because of my grandfather but I would try to avoid asking for help as much as possible. Mainly because having my quirk discovered is a risk by itself. I should probably wait until I solidified my power before even trying to publicize it.
So let's list out all the things we needed for now. Secrecy is important. Money. Training my agility such as reflexes, hand-eye coordination, instinct, and finally improve the quality of my muscle.
*Knock* *Knock*
The knocking sound alarmed me as it disturbed my thinking. Looking at the door, I saw my grandfather looking at me. He slowly walked up and sat in the bed next to me.
"My sweet grandson. I am sorry for not being there all the time." Morito said solemnly.
"It's okay. I mean if it weren't for you I guess I wouldn't be awake for... maybe a few years, stuck in a public hospital. Besides you are here now aren't you? Maybe you should make it up to me." I said. The last part giving me an idea. "I will tell you the details later but for now let's keep it secret from my mom," I whispered knowing my mom is behind the other end of the door prying on our conversation.
My grandfather realized what I was saying and nodded his head. He then gave me a paper and a card. "This is for your future use." He said silently. I nodded and hid it on my 'secret' spot.
"Your mother agreed to one of my conditions when you were being hospitalized. Of course two of those is your engagement and my entitlement. The one last conditions I asked for is for you to be a celebrity, to be popular. I remember your mother saying you wanted to be a hero right? It would really be good for you if you are smoking hot as well as my other servants." He said without stopping. Then he turns around and mutters under his breath, "Also more grand-grandkids for me if you started to copulate early."
"What does copulate mean?" I asked. I quickly put my hands to my mouth
"N-nothing." He said as he quickly, very lightly, covers my mouth. "I meant to cope with things is to eat." he shouted towards the door.
"Figures that's what you meant." said the female outside the door. Then a loud bang can be heard. 'Man I didn't know my mom could be this scary. I thought she is a very sweet person.' I thought after hearing their exchanges. My grandfather then looked at me.
"I will be sending one of my underlings here in a few weeks to protect you and your mother. I can't risk you being hurt now that I notified everyone that you are the next in line." Finished Morito as he started to get up. "Don't worry, she is fine as hell." He whispered, again with the smug grin.
"I don't care about that old man," I said... 'wait I wasn't like this. I would normally be more formal and respectful. Is this what they called being corrupted? I hope it is not.' I thought to myself. But as I was about to say anything, my grandfather is already gone.
"How was it Izuku?" My mother opened the door and slowly walked up next to me. "How was your grandfather? To be honest, here, he surprised me. He used to over spoil anyone with his money. I guess he changed." My mom said with a smile. After hearing what she said, I quickly thought about the card that he sent. 'No he didn't mom.' I thought.
After my grandfather's visit, nothing eventful happened today. That is until I was notified by my mom that in a few days there would be a banquet about my engagement. I accepted it and just went to sleep, trying to put my mind away from it.
Yes, there is a lot of fluff this chapter. I have to reach the 2000 chapter world length as much as I can. I have huge plans for the next chapter. If any of you guys are asking for the pacing of the story, there would be few bits more chapters before the start of the main storyline. Maybe around 7 more chapters. This would be my only chapter for today. I will give out 3 tomorrow if I have time.
