Carson narrowed his eyes at that statement. Matthew said he 'knew a bit' about brain-based superpowers when he messaged him on Facebook but the way he talked made it seem like he had been conducting research for a while.

If he knew about powers either he had one or someone close to him did. That must have been what kickstarted his interest.

"Do you have powers or is it someone you know well that made you start researching it?" he asked shrewdly.
