CHAPTER 12- Asking Clyde

It's been a week since my last conversation with Rica. Just thinking that I'll be the one to ask Sir Clyde to go to amusement park and have a date with him makes me feel embarrassed. And I still haven't think of any way to ask him.

It might really sound weird to suddenly ask him with me to go to amusement park and surely he will think that I'm making a move on him.

"what are you thinking? You have been erasing the panels you've drawn." I even forgot that Calix is with me. He's watching a suspense movie on my laptop.

"oh" then I sigh I didn't even notice that I've been erasing the panels for my manga that I've drawn for how many day offs.

"Is something bothering you?" he paused the suspense movie that he's watching then turn to look at me.

I was hesitant to tell him but he's giving me that look again, the look that will make you feel guilty. I sigh not knowing what to do.

"Maybe I can help, but it's okay if you don't wanna tell me I won't force you"

" how will you ask someone to go with you to amusement park?" I ask him continuing what I'm doing.

"It's easy. " I stop what I'm doing and turned to look at him.

"I'll buy the ticket first then ask them casually that 'do you wanna go to amusement park with me? I have extra ticket' " he tried to change his voice like a girl confessing but it failed. I was holding my laughter the whole time that I'm watching him. He's so serious, it's funny but adorable at the same time.

"I don't know if I have the courage to casually ask that"

"you are asking a guy right? " He asked as he continued watching the suspense movie.

"yeah" then I look at him, he didn't say anything.

"it's not what you think I'm just asking him for someone" I don't know why I'm explaining. It might sound defensive but I just don't want him to get the wrong idea.

He didn't talk to me anymore he just focused his attention to the movie and I just continued what I'm doing. The silence between us is growing.

It's Friday today and after thinking whether to do or not to do I decided to ask Sir Clyde now. It's been awkward between Calix and me after that conversation and I don't know why.

It's my break and I'm now in front of Sir Clyde's office. I knock three times and waited for his response. When I heard him saying "Come in" I opened the door slowly.

He gave me a sweet smile just like the first time we've met. Rica is not here I wonder where that young girl is but it's better that she's not here and can't see how embarrassing this situation I'm in.

"What is it, Hyunah?" He asked me curiously but still smiling.

"ca-can I as-ask y-you si-sir?" why am I stammering. I felt my cheeks grew hot I'm so embarrassed right now.

"you're already asking me Hyunah" he said looking at me amuse.

My goodness I feel twice embarrass now.

"I mean will yoo gooe whith mee to thee amushhshment parsks? " I ask him quickly.

"what? You're asking me to go with you to?" he asked me confuse but is widely grinning he is surely enjoying my reaction right now.

"forget what I said sir. I'm going" I said to him still feeling embarrassed.

"Hyunah wait. You're asking me to go with you to amusement park right?" he said it looking so amuse as if I just did something unbelievable. I knew it he heard what I said he just pretended he didn't get. Not knowing how to answer him I remain silent.

" I was just gonna ask you to go with me to amusement park this coming sunday. You just did first but it's okay I like girls who do the first move" he said to me teasingly.

I feel much more embarrassed than before now. To think that for him I'm doing the first move.

"I'll be going now" thankfully I still manage to tell that to him.

"don't forget on Sunday Hyunah I'm gonna fetch you" I just said okay to him before going out, I might lose face if I stay longer there.
