#11 Saving people

------Tatsumi's PoV------

Tatsumi was peacefully going toward the Capital when he heard screams ahead of him, he instantly started to run toward the place where he heard scream without thinking. When he arrived at place he saw High-Class 2 Danger Beast attacking 2 men.

"I guess I will make my name famous much earlier!" with that said he jumped at Danger beast and slashed his sword at it, making beast lose 1 limb. Tatsumi didn't end and continued his attack by slashing at it's weak spots.

After few minutes: "This is the end!" cried Tatsumi while beheading beast.

"That was awesome! You managed to kill High-Class 2 Danger beast all alone, you must be super strong" Cried out one of the them while running toward Tatsumi.

Tatsumi looked at them with sparkling eyes and said with his head high "Right?!! My name is Tatsumi, prepare yourself to hear a lot about me!"

"You want to become famous in Capital? I wouldn't recommend it that place is full of monsters" Advised first man

"Monsters? Like this one?" Asked Tatsumi while pointing his finger at dead Danger beast.

"Something much worse.....humans" Explained second man.

Tatsumi was pretty shocked but immediately shrugged it of and thought 'It can't be that bad, I am sure they only exaggerated'

"Thank you for your advise but I, no, we need to go there to save our village" With that said Tatsumi went on his way to Capital.

------MC's PoV------

'Once again back at this shi*ty hole like city'

Ren was thinking about his meeting with Tatsumi since he wanted to know if he really is so naive and kind or if it was only in anime. He also wanted to know how would canon play if he met Tatsumi before Leone.

Just when he was taking a walk around barracks where applications for army were accepted he saw how official kicked 1 boy out of there. When he saw how boy looked he immediately grinned and walked to him, he needed to be quick or Leone would come destroy his plans.

When Ren arrived behind boy he started to talk to get his attention.

"Yo, you were kicked from barracks too?"

Tatsumi heard someone speak behind him when he was thinking what to do so he stopped and turned around to face the person. When he saw Ren's appearance he immediately mumbled to himself "How can world be so unfair?"

Ren only tilted his head not knowing what he was talking about, just when he was preparing to ask again he heard Tatsumi say "Ah, sorry I was only talking to myself, you were kicked out too?".

"Yeah who would want to start as lowly infantry...Don't you want to go to inn? We can eat and drink something while we think how to join army with higher rank. How about it?" Asked Ren

"Sure...It's not like I have anything else to do!" Said Tatsumi while smiling

'He really is too naive and kindhearted...I can tell just from his smile and this small exchange of words.' Ren kept thinking while he walked with Tatsumi to inn

They found some empty seats and made themselves comfortable. After they got their drinks they started talking about army.

"My name is Tatsumi." Said Tatsumi while extending his arm for handshake

Ren slightly smiled and said while he caught Tatsumi's arm: "Mine is Ren, it's pleasure to meet you"

"Soo, Ren why do you want to join army?" Asked Tatsumi

"I want to be useful to Empire what about you?" Ren responded and returned question

"I need a lot of money to save my vill-" Before Tatsumi could finish his sentence both of them heard other people gossiping

"Hey isn's that Ryu the Demon?" Man 1

"Yes it's him!!" Woman 1

"That famous Ryu?!" Man 2

"Yes, him." Woman 1

Tatsumi tilted his head in confusion since he never heard of Ryu and Ren just frowned, he didn't want Tatsumi to find out about his identity since It could make Tatsumi doubt his troubles about getting into army. Fortunately people didn't dare to point their fingers at Ren's cold face.

"Do you know that Ryu the Demon guy Ren?" Questioned Tatsumi.

"Hmm, I have heard about some guy named Ryu working for guild." Ren cleared Tatsumi's confusion

"Guild? Do you think I could make money there?" Tatsumi asked

"Don't even think about it.. Rewards there are total sh*t compared to danger and you need lot of money and I don't think you can afford to fulfill quests there for few years right?" Ren advised him

When Tatsumi started to feel despair woman came to their table and greeted them in sweet voice:

"Hi handsome boys I overheard that you have problem with joining the army, maybe I could help ya"

When Tatsumi head her he turned his head to side to look at her and was bit dazed.

"Tch" Ren only clicked his tongue when he heard her. 'Guess Tatsumi is destinated to meet her and have his money stolen'

Person who approached their table was young, curvaceous woman. She had short blonde hair with two long tufts that frame the sides of her head and golden eyes. She wore a revealing outfit with a black tube top covering her big chest.

After few seconds of staring at her chest Tatsumi immediately recovered but still blushed and said "Please sit, you can help us with our problem?!"

Ren was totally unaffected by her appearance and her sweet talking and only had his usual cold poker face.

"Of course I can help ya boy" Leone winked at Tatsumi while answering his question.

She was quite surprised by Ren's casual and uninterested face, she met lot of men and knew what they kept thinking about when being near her, she also met lot of men like Ren but even their eyes trailed to her breasts. She also thought that she knew Ren from somewhere.

"How?!" Tatsumi asked in excited voice

Leone narrowed her eyes and explained "Simply by having money and connections. I know someone who could get ya in high position if you paid him."

Tatsumi searched his backpack and threw full sack of money on the table and asked "Will this be enough?"

"Oh that's lot of money you have got here! With all this you will be in commanding position. Leave it to me and I will take care of it for ya! And what about you handsome?" Leone answered Tatsumi and asked Ren

"No need I will find another way" Ren responded coldly

"Ok, I leave it to you!" Tatsumi said to Leone in excited voice

Ren who was watching entire process of their conversation was so shocked that he thought he lost few brain cells. 'What the actual f*ck? How can you be so stupid to give some busty woman all your money while not even telling your name or knowing her name.'

After Leone left they kept talking for 1 hour but Ren was looking at Tatsumi like he was idiot for entire time. In the end Ren stood up and said that he still had matter he had to attend to, so he said goodbye and left.

It was already dusk and he needed to prepare for tonight, he had in plan saving Sayo and Leyasu but something told him that it won't be without problems, so he went to weapon shop to buy good durable daggers since he was still using his old rusty ones. After paying 15 gold for most durable and expensive daggers he went to blacksmith to sharpen all his weapons since he still had over 100 gold coins and could afford it. After everything was settled he just waited some time for night time.

------Tatsumi's PoV------

Like in canon Tatsumi was taken by Aria. It was already night and Tatsumi just woke up from killing intent he felt

'What was that?'

He immediately got up and went to window where he saw 5 figures "fighting" with guards.

'Are they rumored Night Raid? They are too powerful for me to deal with. I have to at least protect Aria for kindness she showed me'

With that thought he run after Aria.

------Ren's PoV------

Ren was already near storehouse Aria's family used for torturing people. When he sneaked in what greeted him was room full of corpses.

'What the f*ck'

Even with his cold and "emotionless" personality he still felt disgusted. He didn't mind torturing for good reason like torturing for information etc. but this was totally different, most of the people here didn't even do anything. But now wasn't time to feel disgusted he needed to find Leyasu and Sayo.

After few minutes he found them in 1 cage, both of them were naked and looked by now pretty badly, Ren detected potent poison in their bodies so he fished out 2 pills he got from Shell and gave it to them.

"Who..are..you?" Asked weakly Leyasu

"Doesn't matter now, quickly eat those pills and you just might have chance to live"

Leyasu ate it without hesitation since he had nothing to lose but Ren had to help naked Sayo eat her pill since she couldn't even move. Ren saw her entire bruised body and felt anger when he remembered the reason she was tortured.

'To torture someone because they are more pretty... This is too much even for me'

'Shell heal the girl first since she is in worse state than boy' Ren instructed Shell

'No problem, my pills come in handy in the end.'

"What..is...this? Turtle?" Sayo started to get better after taking pill and could talk by now

"She is my companion and will heal you so don't move and only lay still"

After 15 minutes doors to the storehouse were destroyed by and Leone and Tatsumi walked in.

Tatsumi was totally shocked by what he saw but immediately focused his attention on Sayo and Leyasu.

"Leyasu, Sayo!!! What have they done to you?!" Asked Tatsumi

He also noticed Ren sitting on some boxes.

"Ren? What are you doing here? What happened here?!" Tatsumi questioned Ren while holding Leyasu and Sayo's hands.

But Ren's attention was on someone else... when he saw Aria outside of storehouse he immediately created thousands of small Wind blades with swing of his arm and send them at her. She wasn't without cut on her entire body even her face wasn't spared. She kept crying, whining but Ren just looked at her coldly and said to Tatsumi:

"I will go now, they can tell you what happened" Said Ren while looking at Leyasu and Sayo.

He was already angered enough and wanted to leave quickly so he was planning to leave but he was stopped by young black haired girl. It was Akame with her dark sleeveless mini dress with a white collar and a red tie.

"Who are you and why were you in this storehouse?!" Akame asked suspiciously and coldly.

Ren narrowed his eyes, he always hated being questioned in this tone and with his current mood it was already feat that he didn't simply attacked Akame.

"MOVE...." Ren said in icy tone and released his killing intent at Akame.

Leone was surprised by Ren being here but when she felt killing intent Ren released then even she felt suffocated. 'This is bad situation.' Thought Leone to herself.
