Jimin called out to Hitman Bang, "Can we go to somewhere with a patio or very big windows?" He didn't like how trapped the practice room felt. The part he really liked about the manager's apartment was that it was so empty and the windows were very large, showing a lot of scenery that calmed him.
Hitman Bang looked surprised for a second before saying, "I don't have the permission to roam freely in this building; but I can bring you to one of the staff room. The condition is a lot better there. This company really respects its employees."
Jimin nodded. The six others decided to follow, with bottles of water in their hands.
....
The large room was nicely furnished, simple but comfortable. The "wooden" walls and floors made everything seem more welcoming. there were multiple sofas that were arranged in a circle, with a glass table that took its place in the middle. There was an entire wall dedicated to a pair of windows that overlooked a gorgeous pastel colored garden below and white cushioned bay window seats with pillows. A fancy white cabinet beside it contained a basket of fruits. Light spilled from the open windows, illuminating the room with natural lighting.
Jin grumbled, "This place is missing a flower."
Jungkook and Taehyung rushed in. It was so mesmerizing and dreamy. The style was completely different from the rest of the building.
Hitman Bang chuckled at their open astonishment. "The same architect constructed everything; it's just that one year, the staff protested for an interior designer to redesign all of the staff rooms." His eyes turned in to crescents at the memory but there was a gloomy quality in them.
"Why aren't there any people here?" Jin questioned.
Hitman Bang smiled. "There is more work to be done in this building than you think, especially for managers. The reason you see me have nothing else to do than watch you is that I'm not a very popular manager and I have ...not the best reputation." He paused. "Anyways, relax for the last 15-20 minutes. You guys won't be going first anyway since the order is based on registry dates." He waved at the boys and left.
Jungkook looked around the room, squinting his eyes; then, he began to eye the pile of fruit. "Hey guys, do you think there are cameras in this place?" His voice was a lot clearer now, he finished his bottle of water while walking to the staff room.
"Don't know, but there were probably cameras in the practice room." Jimin followed his line of sight and frowned disapprovingly. "Kookie, don't follow Taehyung's example. It's not good to randomly eat other people's food."
"Hey! Jimin, how could you disregard me in front of my precious sunbaenim? I didn't eat randomly, okay?" Taehyung quipped back.
"Guys, just stop it okay?" Jin interfered. He stared intensely at the pieces of fruit until he remembered something. "Do you know why do melons have weddings?"
"Huh?" Jungkook couldn't think of anything. Melons have weddings?!
Suga replied smoothly to the unspoken question, "They don't, Kookie, according to scientists, melons do not reproduce nor have a love life. They grow on trees until they ripen and other organisms eat them."
Ignoring Suga's irrelevant answer, Jin said, "because they cantaloupe!" He trembled in laughter. "I upgraded, haven't I? Hahahaha..."
Silence.
...
During those 20 minutes, Bangtan talked and talked. They talked about everything, from their fears, to their feelings, and to their outlooks. It showed how deep their friendship was. They were completely at ease while looking at the beautiful blue sky and all of the people that walked through the garden and its parameters. Soft summer wind blew on their hair and refreshed the air. Eventually, Jungkook's grumbling finally loosened Jimin's grip on not eating random strangers' things. Since the group didn't eat lunch, they were all very hungry, especially since they had exercised for so long. They finished all of the fruit. However, time didn't slow. After the 20 minutes, even if they haven't finished talking, the conversation had to end.
