The Banquet (Part 3)

Seok Jin's POV

"Pardon me your highness. I have a few questions to ask you and I'm pretty sure all the reporters do have something to say as well." One of the reporters said.

"Ah yes. You can ask me anything. I'll go on the stage and everyone can ask me a question. Only one question for each person." I said. 

"Thank you for your grace your highness." The reporter said. 

I went up the stage and signal the boys that it was time to start the show. 

"Your highness, I have a question. I'm from NPG media. Why do you still stay in your mother's palace when the king had prepared another place for you?" The reporter asked. 

"Well you could say that I could feel my mother's presence there. At the very least, I could feel that she's alive in that place. When I was younger, I could feel her singing lullaby to me before I go to bed. Everything there just reminds me of her." I said. 

"Your highness. I'm a reporter from MHK. This might be a sensitive question but I need to ask this. As a citizen, I still felt sad until today that your mother had died unjustly as the rumors had said. I would like to ask is it true?" A female reporter asked. 

"Well my hands are tied on this matters. I can't say much." I said in a desperate voice. 

I could see the witch is going to burst out of furriness but I still want to press to it. 

"Next question please." I said. 

"Your highness, I would like to continue the same question. Rumors had said that the previous queen had been murdered by someone. It is said that it had an inkling to poison. Is it true that the present queen had poisoned her?" The reporter asked.

"Yes. It was her who had murdered my mother." I said.

"This is slander. How can you do this to me Seok Jin? This is what I get from raising you." The queen said. 

"Why can't I? My mother treated you as her own sister and you betrayed her. Do you think that without my mother you could enter this palace? Do you think that a commoner like you deserve to rule along with my father? Do you think that you deserve this title?" I shouted at her.

"You're telling lies." The queen said in an innocent voice.

"My mother had done nothing wrong towards you. She's the kindest queen to every people met And yet you schemed against her. You accused me of telling lies. Hah. What a joke you're trying to make? Are you trying to say that I'm bullying a woman? I will state this clear. I will never attack a woman unless you deserve it. You had proven to me that you deserve it. You poisoned my mother and lock her soul in the palace. What kind of evil woman are you? And now you wouldn't even let my father off. If I don't return this time, wouldn't you have taken the whole country then. You think I don't know what you have done all this while. You stupid witch. You can go die with your acting. You think I would fall for it isn���t it." I said everything out in anger making her unable to refute.

"Where the evidence then?" She said while smirking at me. 

"You think I couldn't get the evidence. It's all here. Printed in black and white. Everyone in this room would get a copy of what this woman had done. She will be punish according to the law. Her crime are poisoning the king and charged of murdering the previous queen." I said calmly. 

"Omg this is what she really is." 

"Hah this is funny. She thinks that the kingdom belongs to her. If it wasn't the previous queen who took pity of her she would still been begging on the street." 

"This is what you call biting the hand that fed you."

"Now everything had been exposed. How can she still keep up the act. So fake."

"Once an evil person, always an evil person." 

"This is really an eye opener."

"I pity the prince that he needs to live with a living witch for so many years."

"What an evil person she is." 

"No wonder she couldn't have any child all these years. Turns out it was God punishing her." 

"No everything in your hand is a lie. I had never done any of those things." The queen said with tears falling down her face. 

I don't even feel an ounce of pity towards her because I know that she deserved this. The boys came to me and hug me. I know they are comforting me. 

"Drag her away." I told the guards and they took her away immediately.

"Hyung it's over." Nam Joon said. 

"Your mother's death has been justified." Yoon Gi said. 

"Greetings your highness." Someone said. 

I turn around to see my uncle. 

"Uncle Hwan. How are you? I miss you." I said hugging him. 

"Well you see I'm still alive and kicking. I'm proud of you son. Your mother must be proud as well." Uncle Hwan said. 

"Uncle Hwan. Why don't you stay here for today? I have something to tell you." I said. 

"Sure my child. Your uncle hadn't seen you for so long as well." Uncle Hwan said.
