Demons

"Are you not sleepy?" Nana asks for the fifth time and the fox was calmly replying with 'no, I'm not '

While Ping just walk behind them and gazes at them with fond eyes. Her lovers were just too precious and cute for her, so loveable.

They took take outs and went to a park for a little picnic of their own. There were not many people since the weather was quite gloomy with dark clouds with dampness in the air. They don't mind though, Ping herself just love soaking in the rain and her two lovers love to indulge on her activity of getting wet.

.. . and they did get wet, the rain started falling right after they had finished with their meal. But they all run to take shelter by the shrine near by because Nana was wearing make up and she didn't wanted it to be a mess and running down her face.

They sat by the door steps leading up to the inner part of the shrine where there were some people inside, wearing white traditional kimono.

"This is worse place we could run into." Wang Jiu hisses quietly as soon as he realised what kind of place they were taking shelter on. It was too low, but Ping heard it.

"We can move from here." Ping suggested and took hold of Nana's hand, who was obliviously admiring the place instead, eyes roaming around past the doors towards the inside.

They were stepping back down the stairs when Ping felt it, it's was weak but it was there. The barrier. It was weak compared to her but the other two was weaker than her.

Her lovers, her two consort.

"Wang, stop." Ping commands, pulling Nana close to herself since the girl was the weakest among them. Wang Jiu might have sense it to since he jumps up the flight of stairs to stand right next to her.

"Demons." a voice whispers into the air.

Nana went stiff but she stood alert and brave next to Ping, calming her heart and mind.

"How unusual." a man clothed in white came out of the shrine, he was old maybe in his seventies. A high priest.

.and he was speaking Chinese. How considerate.

"We were just running from a little rain, don't mean to intrude on your place. We were on our way already but you seem to be stopping us from doing so." Ping says as she turn to face the man, chin up as she refuge to be look down upon by a mere human onmyoji.

"Now, you're interesting." the priest smiles and took a step towards them, eyes gleaming in amusement when the fox demon move to stand sideways in front of the two girls.

_shall I kill him?_ Wang Jiu glance at his master for permission.

_not yet_ Ping nods her head at him before turning back to the man.

"If you let us go now, than no one will get hurt." Ping tries to reason, speaking politely and respectfully.

"You're fascinating. What kind of demon are you?" the priest questions, as if they are not there and he's just wondering to himself.

"How arrogant." Ping exclaims, her patience thinning with how the man was staring at them smugly. too proud.

"Yannie, no killing!" Nana snaps and hold on tightly on Ping's arm, as if she can sense what Ping have in mind.

"Humans are ignorant, arrogant.. . too full of themselves and heartless." Ping states, prying Nana's arm off her and stepping up the stairs towards the man.

Nana was about to each out but Wang Jiu hold her back by warping his arms around the girls waist. "Trust our master." he says. Nana was confused by the word but she can ask about it later, right now she wish her love will be alright. Fear, the fear of losing someone she dearly loves. It kills her to watch Ping stand in front of the man to protect them.

"I would love to seal you away for good." the priest speaks and brings out a sword into one hand and a few shinkigami on his other hand.

"Or maybe I should just erase you." he adds.

_let me handle this_

_no_

"I found you really annoying." Ping comments and move forward, her feets were not even touching the stairs but she flew, like a shadow hovering above. The marks on her skin was glowing faint like neon lights, mate and dark.

"You demon!" the priest hisses when Ping grasp hold of his arm holding the sword in a piercing grip.

"You are no match for me!" Ping exclaims, her grip on the man's arm tightening impossibly, "and if you don't stop this ridiculous assumption of yours that all demons look for trouble, I will tear you apart to the bones. Which part of your little brain is smart enough to understand me?"

"I can kill your soul existence, right here right now. With a promise to never get reincarnated into any other realm." Ping stares at the priest with her piercing eyes and the man staggers, taking a few steps backwards but he couldn't run since Ping still had his arm in her hold.

"What in the world are you?!" the priest exclaimed, his face a little pale from fear but still standing tall, too proud to show any weakness.

"I am the highest priest in all Kyoto and you mere demon cannot overwhelm me!" he shouts but all he got was the girl in front of her smiling menacingly with her sharp teeth and staring into his eyes with dark hollowed abyss of her eyes.

The priest dared look away from the dark eyes, just to face ancient marks glowing in the girl's ashy skin. Fear grasps on his insides as he drags his eyes to his burning arms, the hand holding his arm were coal black and the dark cloudy swirls of smoke were over his arm covering it. It was horrifying to watch the sleeve of his clothes melting away into a black gooey falling on the ground. He was frozen in fear, horror of seeing his skin melt away like nothing but a wax.

"Consider this as a parting gift. A lesson for your foolishness since you dare draw your sword on me."

The priest heard the girl, but it was faint, maybe he's losing consciousness. He felt the hold on his arm loosen before his mind recognised the gut curling pain traveling up his arms into his chest.

Then he screamed.
