Ash coated the still-smouldering rubble, and a guilt-stricken girl stood at a safe distance as her eyes wandered over the damage she had caused. Why did she inherit these powers? Why had she been the chosen one? All they did was cause destruction and were a burden she would rather not bare.
A chill in the air wrapped their withered hands about her shoulders, and she couldn't help but to shiver. As much as she hated having powers, she would need to learn how to control them; not just for her safety, but for others as well. The guilt from burning down a building was already heavy enough, so how much heavier would it be if the next thing she burnt was a living being?
Turning on her heel, she put images of the charred mess to the back of her mind and wiped the tears from her eyes. She had had enough of wallowing about things that were out of her control. Tomorrow she would go somewhere and master her powers in some way.
On her way home she texted Hoseok and asked him to meet her at her house in the morning.
He was the only person who could help her.
