She rolled on her bed and wondered, ignoring her mum's persistant demanding of her .
Days passed , and it's her 12th birthday. Suddenly , an owl flew in the room. It landed on Lyra's bookshelf and stretched out a leg, a letter tied to it.
"Huh?"Lyra gently untied the letter from the owl's leg and read
Dear Lyra ,
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

Lyra stared at the letter in awe, she've heard of Hogwarts, and read the books. She rushed out to the living room, wanting to share the news .
