I Have To Upset You.

The car kept driving on the road along tall trees. The sun was setting in the sky, the day was warm and could bring joyful feelings, like when you feel the first spring warmth after a long winter.

Corey and Rick were chatting all the way merrily as if it was their honeymoon. He did not let the girl go for a minute and tried to keep her in his field of vision when she was addressing Elena with some question.

Elena silently watched the situation and tried to come up with some plan, but it was all in vain. Any of her actions could put Corey's safety at risk. She could only obediently follow Rick's plan. And hope for David.

Even if there was no visible evidence for that, and Rick said that David could not care less about her now, Elena felt the unshakable confidence that he would come up with something.

"Wow, what is this?" Corey exclaimed in surprise and leaned out of the window to get a better look at the building to which they were approaching.

Elena looked ahead and froze. She had speculations about what Rick had in mind, but the very little hope that she was wrong had just disappeared.

Rick gave Elena a contented look and answered Corey's question with undisguised pleasure, "My dear, this is the place where we will stay tonight. Once upon the time, there were many interesting events here." The man's smirk was directed at the dark-haired girl sitting next to him, to which Elena replied with a look full of contempt. Rick smiled sarcastically and added, "If you want, I'm ready to tell you a couple of unforgettable stories about this old castle. Wewelsburg Castle."

"Really? I will listen with pleasure! Just promise that they won't be horror stories!" Corey replied and thought for a moment, "Don't tell me that a ghost lives in this castle..."

"Haha, no, my dear, there's no ghost here. But I can tell one tragic love story between this and then. Elena, do you want to listen to this story too?"

"I will pass," the girl replied stiffly and turned away.

The car stopped in front of the main entrance. More than seventy years have passed since Elena first saw these walls. But the time here seemed to stop. They were still the same gray and inspired despondency.

The caretaker of the castle went out to meet them and led them in one of the rooms, where dinner was already served. The room was clean and bright. One could see the forest from the large windows. On the walls various swords, bows, ancient tools, tapestries with unknown emblems were hanging. It seemed as if they had fallen into the Museum of the History of the middle Ages.

Corey looked at the tapestries on the walls of the room with interest, "Wow, I have never seen such ancient objects so close. Rick, is it normal that they hang here as decorations and not on display at any local museum?"

"Yes, that's fine," he motioned for Corey to sit at the table. The girl sat next to Elena, and the young man sat in front of them. "The fact is that Wewelsburg itself is a museum."

Corey, hearing these words, choked. "That is, you want to say that we will spend the night in the museum? Now I definitely won't be able to sleep. I hope that some exhibits won't come alive at night?"

"Haha, no, dear. This is not happening here. In fact, there are not so many antiques. In the forties of the last century, this castle was rented by the organization, called Ahnenerbe. Have you heard about such organization?"

Corey frowned, "To be honest, I'm not strong in history. But is it not by chance those who were fond of some kind of mysticism and secret knowledge?"

"Well, yes, you can say so. I think Elena knows this better, right?" Rick grinned and narrowed his eyes, looking at the girl.

Elena grinned back and said through clenched teeth, "Aha, those were big assholes."

Rick snorted, noting the girl's impudence, and added, "In 1945, when it became obvious that the war was lost, they laid bombs under the western wall of the castle to destroy the evidence. But, to their regret, the castle wasn't destroyed. Although all documents and evidence of their activities were lost anyway."

The young man looked intently at Elena, "It's a pity that one defenseless girl died during that blast. What was her name... Polina, I think."

Elena, hearing a familiar name, dropped the spoon from her hands. Rick continued, "Yes, this is exactly the sad love story I mentioned earlier. She was one of the maids and was secretly in love with the son of the commandant of the castle. Their love was forbidden because his father did not approve of their relationship. When they were caught together, the father ordered to lock her in one of the dungeons of the castle. Coincidentally, it was at that moment that an explosion occurred. The young man wanted to save her, but he didn't have enough time. And the girl died."

"And what about her love mate?" Corey asked with worry in her voice.

"Hmm, they say that he went missing," Rick replied and chopped a piece of meat lying on his plate onto a fork. He exhaled with scenic sadness, "Well, not all love stories end happily."

"Ok, let's not talk about sad things," Corey suggested. The atmosphere in the room seemed unusually heavy to her. Rick smiled and nodded his head, "I agree. Moreover, we have a lot of interesting things ahead. So I suggest having a good rest tonight."

The young man called the employee of the castle, "Hans, take our guest to her room, please. We had a long flight and a car ride. Let her have a good rest. Did you prepare the room I asked for?"

"Yes, sir. Everything is ready," the man confirmed and turned to Elena, "Miss, if you are finished with dinner, let me take you to your room. The corridors in the castle are dark in the evening, and you can get lost easily."

"I will take Corey to the room myself, so don't worry," Rick commented when he noticed the girl's confusion, "Make yourself at home, Elena." A wicked smile slipped on his face, but Corey didn't notice anything and wished Elena goodnight when she got up from the table.

"Goodnight. See you tomorrow," Elena replied and left the room.

"Well, let's go? I'll show you our bedroom. I think you will like it," Rick suggested to Corey.

The sun had not yet set behind the horizon, and the castle's corridors were already gray, and if you didn't know the direction, you could really get lost. Rick took his girlfriend by the hand and led her into one of the rooms.

The bedroom was skillfully decorated and created the very impression that you should have when you are in a medieval castle.

But Corey did not have time to look around, as she felt the strong hands of a man, who clasped her from the back, and his hot lips began to kiss her neck greedily.

"Um, Rick, wait a minute. Let's take a shower first, at least," the girl tried to open her arms.

"No, that'll wait. I missed your body," the young man began to unbutton the girl's dress.

"You missed my body? It's kind of weird to hear something like that from your mouth."

The young man froze for a second. Damn, he succumbed to the impulse and nearly revealed himself.

"Silly, you know, I love everything about you, all of you. And your body, and your soul. I love you," he turned the girl over and began to give her face tender kisses.

Corey succumbed to his caresses and did not notice how she was already lying on the bed under his heavy and muscular body. The man's hands were squeezing her, and his lips smoothly moved down her neck to the collarbone. She closed her eyes and made a pleasant moan.

At that moment something flashed in her head, and she seemed to come to her senses.

"Rick..."

"Mmm?" the man asked, not stopping his actions.

"Let's get married."

The young man froze and lifted his head. The surprise was evident in his eyes. "Honey, why to make such an unexpected proposal?"

"Do you mind it?" Corey looked a little sad when she saw the man's reaction.

"Well, of course, I don't! First, it's me who needs to propose, not the other way round. And secondly, I have some important things that I need to finish," Rick replied and clung to her lips.

"Rick, let's go somewhere together, just you and me? Right now! I want to be alone with you in some place where no one knows us and just to be together. We can go to Southeast Asia, for example. You know, I even checked flights to Delhi and Bangkok. Never been to India and in that part of the world. Let's go?"

Rick got up and looked at the girl in disbelief, "Corey, what are you getting at? What is it with such a desire to suddenly go somewhere? What about your friend? Have you thought about Elena?"

Corey also got up and sat on the bed, "Don't you worry, Elena will understand everything! She will not be offended, I know her. Just the whole situation with the engagement and in general everything that happened recently... I want to take a break from all this and just be with you. So that we can walk, talk, think about our plans for the future, our children..."

"Children?" The more Rick listened to Corey, the more strange she seemed to him. "Honey, it seems to me, it is still too early to talk about children."

"You do not want to have children?"

"Um," the man was seriously confused. He planned a lot, and all he planned had nothing to do with Corey or his personal life at all. Therefore, thoughts about children did not even occur in his head even once. This conversation was starting to annoy him.

"No. I don't want children," he answered coldly.

Corey's heart sank. She felt a lump coming up to her throat. "I see...," she whispered and turned away.

Rick looked at the girl, and the feeling that something was wrong was growing in him more and more. The conversation she had brought was an unusual topic for them. But even more strange was her rather calm reaction to his cold words.

He grabbed her chin and turned her face towards him. At this moment in the eyes of the girl, he saw pain and fear. The man lowered his hand and grinned,

"That's how it is... You know everything..."

Corey was looking at Rick, and everything about him was as usual, but why at that moment did she feel that this man was unfamiliar to her? A shiver ran through the girl's body. She instinctively backed away but rested at the head of the bed.

Rick leaned forward and froze over the girl, "Wow, Miss Williams. You are the first who managed to fool me." He waved his hand, and Corey felt a sharp pain, after which the girl's consciousness went out.

He left the room and called one of his subordinates, "Take the girl to that place. And yes, bind her mouth; I do not need extra cries." The subordinate nodded his head and went into the room to pick up Corey. Rick glanced at her unconscious body, turned and left.

He walked along several dark corridors and descended into the dungeon where once the cells were located. The man turned the key, and one of the doors creaked open.

"How do you like my hospitality? Does it look a little familiar, eh, Miss Lee?" Rick coldly looked at the girl, who was sitting on the bare floor.

"Go to hell," Elena grumbled at him.

"Huh, you dare to speak like that in spite of your position? Well, let's see how long your cockiness will last." The young man grabbed the girl by the hand and dragged her to the exit with force.

When he led her into the inner garden, Elena saw burning torches standing around the perimeter. The sun had already set, and the crackling of fire from all sides created the feeling that the girl had fallen during the times of the Medieval Inquisition.

Elena looked at Rick's serious expression and laughed out loud, "Ha, just do not tell me that your sick fantasy wanted to burn me at stake like some kind of witch?"

"Kitten, the one who laughs last is laughing well. Do not underestimate me. I promised you motivation, I will give it to you," Rick raised his hand and pointed towards the wall. Elena followed the look in the indicated direction and was numb with horror.

"You... what did you do...," the girl's lips quivered. Corey lay on the ground against the wall and did not move.

"Um, nothing yet, but it depends on you," Rick ordered two men to hold Elena. And he slowly walked toward his girlfriend.

"You know, Elena, the main problem is that your brain opens up its full potential when it is under a lot of stress. I thought that if I killed your beloved professor in front of you, it would make my task easier. But, unfortunately, this stimulation was only enough to restore the formula of the virus," Rick went to Corey and squatted, "Honey, it's time to wake up," he patted the girl on the cheek so that she regained consciousness.

Corey opened her eyes and froze. Her beloved man was looking at her, and in his eyes was harshness which she had never seen in him. Even his smile caused a chill in her whole body. She raised herself and felt the cold stone behind her. Her hands were tied, her mouth was also closed. The girl was standing, clinging to the wall of the castle, and looking around with fear.

She made an attempt to step aside, but the people standing nearby pointed their pistols at her. Rick raised his hand and stroked her cheek, "My dear, you'd better stand still. Otherwise, my people may misjudge your action and shoot," he kissed the trembling girl on the forehead and walked back toward Elena.

"Rick, I beg you, let her go. I beg you! I will do everything that is required of me, just do not touch Corey," Elena pleaded in the hope of somehow touching his insensible heart.

"My kitten, the information in your head is extremely valuable to me, so excuse me, I have to upset you," he leaned toward Elena and whispered in her ear, "Upset you really bad."

The man took out a gun and pointed it at Corey.

"No, no... Don't do that! She's... she's pregnant!" Elena shouted out of her last strength. She felt that she was about to get hysterical.

The young man's hand shook. "Pregnant?" He repeated in a whisper, unable to believe what he had just heard.

Corey was looking at him, and tears were flowing from the girl's eyes.

Time seemed to slow down its speed as if the whole reality around was paused.

Rick took a deep breath, closed his eyes and pulled the trigger.
