Before Leaving

"Young master Chojusen, here is the territory that the patriarch gave you." The attendant sent to give Chojusen a tour, respectfully said. Even though this attendant was just that, an attendant, he had a cultivation at the peak of the Daolord level; only an Autarch level sect could hope to have Daolords act as mere servants.

Before Chojusen, there was a desolate plain of land; there wasn't a hint of life for thousands of kilometers. After being dismissed by Libo, Chojusen was led outside of the Sect Plaza and into one of the several hidden dimensions within the Staffgod Chaosverse. Chojusen was actually given this entire dimension to himself.

At first he didn't understand how the world worked. Usually a plane of existence had a main dimension, with several hidden dimensions or artificial dimensions spread out. In his home plane, the lowest plane, there was just one universe, with other dimensions being artificial. Rias' plane had one main dimension, the dimensional gap, with the various other dimensions including Heaven, the Underworld, the Human Realm, and the various Domains of the pantheons, being subsidiary dimensions. (A/N: Not cannon, I made this part up~)

Now Chojusen understood, that this plane he was currently in worked on a much more sophisticated level. At the top of the hierarchy was the omniverse, which could be called the main dimension for this plane of existence; all other dimensions where subsidiary to the omniverse, in the same way the Human Realm was subsidiary to the Dimensional Gap.

Below the Omniverse were the several Chaosverses. Chaosverses had countless Realmverses, separated by the darkvoid. Realmverses were composed of several territories which each held countless more Chaosworlds, and each Chaosworld was like a galaxy.

Now within the Staffgod Chaosworld, one of the small planets was given to Chojusen. However, he referred to it as a hidden dimension because all celestial objects were separated by dimensional walls.

Chojusen looked at this raw and untainted land and moved his Immortal Ki to activate his Dao. he said "Rise!" and a large palace emerged from the ground. The palace had ample room and was constructed out of the Dao of Metal and Earth; it would last for an eternity and not succumb to World God level attacks.

Chojusen then turned to the bleak and depressing world around his grand palace and started utilizing his Creation, Yin, and Yang Daos to add some life. With a wave of his hands emerged the flora and the fauna. Grass covered the plains around Chojusen's house, and mountain, rivers, valleys, and forests decorated the rest of the planet.

Chojusen invited the now astonished Daolord attendant into his house to discuss what was left for him to know. The Daolord wasn't impressed with Chojusen's ability to create his palace or even add life to the previously desolate planet; any run of the mill Immortal could accomplish that. What truly set him off was Chojusen's display of the Dao of Metal. As the Daolord saw the Metal of Chojusen's palace form, he felt like his own Dao of Metal was utter garbage; the shock and feeling of self deprecation was so large his Dao Heart almost gave out.

Still, he was a Daolord of the fourth step, so he was able to take this blow to his Dao Heart and not die from uncontrollable fluctuation of his energy. When the attendant finally calmed down, he followed Chojusen inside the newly created palace and told Chojusen what he needed to know.

Chojusen hospitably gave the attendant some snacks that he had made earlier and some wine that he had prepared while on the Autarch's ship. The Daolord almost refused. However, when the divine scent of Chojusen's cooking and wine spread out, even gods would beg for a taste.

Through his tears at admitting defeat against Chojusen, the Daolord explained to Chojusen what there was to offer. He said "You being an ascender, I know what I'm about to say might be obvious and pointless, but the Autarch said I should include it. Anyways, as you no doubt know, we cultivators seek the Dao and go about doing so through adventures. Adventures lead to insights and insights are the key to unlocking the profound truths of the world."

Chojusen had no clue what this guy was talking about. Adventures? Profound Truths? What was that? He didn't know that the insights others were chasing after through adventures were all neatly collected into his book of Dao Origin. However, he didn't voice anything to the Daolord, and just continued to listen to what he had to say.

"...So to summarize, our Staffgod Realmverse has those three special zones you can visit; the Voidstar Gate, Starseizing Ocean, and the Cataclysm Domain. Oh and, I wouldn't have said this before as it should be too dangerous for your level… but the Godfiend Conclave of a Trillion Steps is also a good event you might want to check out after you advance in cultivation a couple more times."

"What exactly is that?"

"The conclave is a special test that Autarch Sinfiend conducts every couple thousand chaos cycles. Usually it's to pick out new disciples for his Sinfiend Palace, but disciples of our sect can go there to take part of the event and potentially get precious treasures from our Autarch."

"Libo?"

"Uh… I already told you about the Daoist etiquette… Why are you disrespecting the patriarch?" The Daolord Attendant had gone over the basics of Daoist etiquette with Chojusen and one of the major taboos was to disrespect people with more power than you. Chojusen was just a puny Ancestral Immortal, calling the Autarch by his birth name… perhaps he was the only Immortal of his level that would dare.

"But, I don't know his Daoist title..."

"You don't?" Black lines could be seen forming on the Daolord's head. He said "Well where are we then?"

"My planet?"

The black lines grew in number "And where is your planet located?"

"Our sect?"

Now the Daolord's face was completely obscured by the sheer volume of black lines on his face "...What's the name of our sect?"

"The Staf… oh, right… his title should be Staffgod?"

The Daolord facepalmed and sighed. The Ascender in front of him might be incredible talented in cultivation, but he seemed to be an airhead. Honestly though, Chojusen couldn't be blamed, this was his first time going through a cultivation oriented plane; how was he supposed to know that Libo was a narcissist that named everything with his Daoist title.

Chojusen just laughed off his mistake and asked "Anyways, do you know where the conclave is being held? And do I still have time to get there before it starts?"

"The conclave is located in another Realmverse called the Sinfiend Realmverse and the event started half a chaos cycle ago..."

"Do I even have time to participate?"

"These events usually go on for a couple chaos cycles so you might make it; it'll be extremely hard though. You'll need to be atleast at the Emperor level and then you'd still need to find a realmship, else you might not make it on time."

Chojusen understood what the Daolord meant. He needed to be at the Emperor level to be strong enough to possess a realmship before seeking one out in the first place. Realmships were highly sought after flying vessels, like the one Libo used, which allowed cultivators to travel relatively quickly from one Realmverse to another.

Chojusen nodded and made idle chat with the Daolord for a couple more minutes before the Daolord voluntarily left his palace. Chojusen chose to first improve his strength as he was still extremely weak in the grand scheme of this plane. But he wouldn't just laze around and train in his palace all the way to Autarchy; that would bore him to death!

He called Kaguya over and the two discussed where they would go first. The conclave was obviously not an option yet, as they would probably die trying to reach another Realmverse with their current strength. Eventually, it was decided that they would go to the Voidstar Gate. Not only was that the closest place to them, the Voidstar Gate would help both Chojusen and Kaguya improve faster.

Still, it would take Chojusen a rather large amount of time to reach the Voidstar Gate as he didn't posses any travelling artifacts. But this wouldn't be a problem for long, as Chojusen could go to the Staffgod sect and buy some precious materials to make his own ship soon. He had a ton of money — those cubes of Chaos he created in the past would be enough to buy what he could work with at the moment.

While Chojusen had been on the Autarch's ship training, he also made an avatar for the Dao of Artifacting, and was close to reaching the Omega level for that Dao as well. However, the deal he made with the Autarch was that he was free to use up any materials for his training, but all of the finished products would belong to the Autarch in the end; a pretty good deal for Chojusen as training the Dao of Artifacting consumed a ton of resources at the beginning stage with no promise of a return. Chojusen didn't know why an Autarch would want any treasures he could create, but he agreed to the deal anyways.

Now, Chojusen left his planet and crossed the dimensional barrier to the Staffgod Sect and traded a million cubes of chaos for enough materials to create a World God level staff and flying shuttle. With his Dao of Artifacting being as close as it was to the Omega level, Chojusen had no would see no problems creating a couple lifeblood-tier items and upgrade them alongside his strength in the future.

Lifeblood weapons extremely hard to create as they could be improved even after their initial creation; even more so for Chojusen who was training in Omega Daos. However, because he was training in Omega Daos, it was possible for him to make them himself.

With the materials in hand and one million cubes of chaos gone from his stock, Chojusen returned to his palace and worked on creating his lifeblood staff and shuttle. He worked very fast and managed to complete his lifeblood weapons in just under a year; it would have taken him much more time if he weren't just creating lifeblood weapons for the World God level.

When the freshly made staff and shuttle came out of the forging process they were pure and unblemished like newborns. The staff inspired an aura of perfection and was completely black from end to end. The shuttle was just the size of Chojusen's hand after leaving the forge, but after binding it, the shuttle could expand to several thousand kilometers long if Chojusen wished.

Chojusen created a knife out of his Creation Dao and cut open a wound in his arm and started "feeding" his newly created lifeblood weapons. This process would not only make him the sole true master for these weapons, it would also allow the weapons to fit Chojusen's Dao more accurately and perfectly; especially as time passed.

I finished DE! Mhmm~
