Estimated time remaining until arrival at destination: 1 month, 10 days, 2 hours...
It has been six hours since Jay started his meditation, trying to contemplate something about the Law of the Moon. But sadly though, he only managed to form a slight connection with the world in those six hours.
Jay was just recalling the basic stuff he learned back at Earth about the moon. Besides that, he was also trying to recall anything related to the moon that he saw in movies, video games, stories, and even supernatural beliefs.
"It looks like it isn't simple as I thought it would be."
Jay broke his meditation and stood up. He did some stretches since his body was a bit stiff from the six hours of meditation.
"Wait... how could I be so stupid! I just recalled stuff I know about the moon and did not actually contemplate on it!" Jay slapped himself since he felt really stupid at the moment. He just wasted six hours because of recalling and connecting bits and pieces of information about the moon.
Just as Jay was going sit down again in a lotus position, Hellson faked a cough, trying to get his attention.
"You won't be able to understand and contemplate anything unless you see it with your own eyes and feel it in your body. You're just wasting your time doing that when you could've just used the Viewing Orb."
"..."
Jay was speechless and made a promise to himself not to become as stupid as he is now. He quickly did what Hellson suggested and used the Viewing Orb.
"I remember that the Viewing Orb will show me anything I want. I wonder if there are restrictions though?" Jay thought to himself as he touched the Viewing Orb and focused his mind.
...
After his consciousness got sucked into the Viewing Orb, Jay was now in a vast and wide ocean. For some reason, he just floated on its surface, never sinking down.
"Let me guess. Since the moon can affect the tides, the Viewing Orb is showing me this vast ocean. I bet that in a few seconds, waves will suddenly appear and cause the surface of the ocean to rise and fall."
Just as Jay was lost in his own thoughts, he stood up and looked around to confirm if he was really located in the middle of an ocean. He then saw a white-robed woman in front of him. Just like him, she was standing on the ocean's surface.
"Who is she?"
The woman was directly looking at Jay, but it seemed as if Jay was invisible, a ghost. After a few seconds, the air suddenly became cold and the ocean started to freeze.
Besides that, gigantic waves appeared, crashing onto Jay and the woman, but neither of them were affected nor swept away by the waves.
After the waves calmed down, the woman disappeared and the Moon appeared on the skies. An illusory image of a white wolf suddenly appeared. The moment it looked at the Moon, it released a majestic howl. When it did so, hundreds of other illusory images of different lifeforms appeared. Some howled like the wolf, some bowed down, some knelt, and some glorified it.
The next thing that happened after that, when the illusory images disappeared into thin air, eight rays of moonlight shone down and some images were reflected on the ocean's surface. When Jay saw the images, he immediately recognized it as the eight phases of the moon as it revolved around earth.
Jay waited for a few minutes to check if something else will happen. And just as he thought, after those few minutes, the eight rays of moonlight disappeared. The moon slowly vanished and the white-robed woman suddenly appeared in front of Jay again. But this time, a gigantic reflection of the woman covered the skies.
Her reflection smiled as she looked over the vast ocean and as it slowly disappeared, she stretched her arms wide open, as if she wanted to wrap everything in her embrace. After all of that, every event that occurred started to repeat over and over.
Jay knew that nothing bad will happen to him since he was in the Viewing Orb, so instead of shitting his pants from all of this, he quickly tried to contemplate everything he was seeing with his own eyes.
He slowly imprinted everything into his thoughts, he tried feeling everything with his body. He slowly tried to become 'one with the world.'
"Woman, water, waves, wind, frost, lifeforms, light, protection, embrace..." Jay muttered slowly as he watched the events play over and over again.
Jay did not know how long has it been since he was contemplating stuff, but he felt as if his connection with the world was getting stronger.
"I get it. The Chicken Lord probably forgot to mention it or just wanted us to figure it out for ourselves, but each Worldly Law, no matter what grade or what it is, it can be subdivided into parts. Slowly understanding each division and fusing them together is what makes up a Worldly Law."
Through Jay's analysis, he figured out that the Law of the Moon had eight divisions and he named them as: Lunar Waters, Lunar Winds, Moon of Life, Moon of Spirits, Moon of Frosty Winds, Moonlight, Lunar Embrace, Lunar Reflection
"I don't know if that's what their supposed to be called or if there is a specific name, but I don't have time to waste thinking about that." Jay thought to himself as he sat down in a lotus position, slowly comprehending each of the eight divisions of the Law of the Moon.
...
Back on Ashnakara's skies, the Chicken Lord suddenly sensed the wind changing. He quickly glanced at Nuggets since he felt it coming from her.
"Lil' sis, are you fine?"
"Yup. But Jay... I don't know what's happening to him. His whole body started to turn cold and he won't wake up." Nuggets said as she panicked. She even felt a chilling sensation at her back even though she was covered in flames and lightning sparks due to her Thunderhawk Phoenix form.
"Jay! Wake-" The Chicken Lord was about to slap Jay in order to wake him up, but he realized that the chilling air around Jay was really strange. It was as if he was practicing in something.
"No way! He already managed to contemplate a worldly law?" The Chicken Lord thought to himself and was shocked how fast Jay was in doing so.
"Lil' sis, hand him over to me. I'll carry him for the rest of the trip." The Chicken Lord quickly said since he was afraid what would happen if Jay is disturbed. He fully trusted Nuggets, but accidents could happen anytime.
Nuggets wondered why the Chicken Lord requested this, but she did not make a fuss over it and placed Jay on the Chicken Lord's back.
...
Back in the Mind Room, Jay finally got out of the Viewing Orb.
"Hellson, how long has it been?" Jay quickly asked since he hoped that he still had a lot of time left before their travel time was over.
"An hour or less. I forgot to remind you, but a day in the Viewing Orb is equal to an hour. And an hour in the Mind Room is also an hour on the outside world."
"I see. Wait, the time in the Mind Room is the same with the outside world?" Jay quickly asked.
"I think there were some buttons just near the map area that changes some settings in the Mind Room. But I never fiddled with it since who knows what will happen if I get careless and pushed a self destruct button or something?" Hellson said as he stood up and showed Jay where the setting buttons were located.
Just below the map, Hellson pried open the wall since there was a thin groove that allowed him to do so. After prying it open, hundreds of red buttons that were lined up into two rows and 5 columns appeared.
"As you can see, none of these buttons have a label on them. I accidentally pushed one of them but I forgot which one it is, causing your Status Screen to disappear."
"So you're the reason why my Status Screen is gone! And you did not even tell me! I thought we were friends..." Jay exclaimed loudly as he looked at Hellson laughing, probably trying to hide his embarrassment through laughter.
Jay quickly went over and tried placing a finger over the very first button on the top right. He did not want to press anything, but he was curious if something will happen just by placing his finger over a button.
"This is really risky... if there is indeed a self destruct button here and I accidentally pressed it, then my godly tool will be gone and I have to depend on myself..." Jay thought to himself but just as he was about to release his finger...
"Greetings, Jay."
An old man that looks like Hellson appeared at the center of the Mind Room. The old man was wearing a black coat that had golden linings on it.
"What?!! Who are you? How did you enter this place?!!"
Not only Jay, even Hellson was shocked as he saw someone that looked exactly like him appear.
"I am the Father of All. I am the one and only Fatelord of Creation."
"No, it's impossible!" Hellson suddenly shouted out and felt as if everything he knew was false. The new Fatelords like Jay, Nuggets, and Roasted Boar did not know of something that only Hellson and the rest of the Fatelords knew.
According to the oldest records in the history of the Fatelord Plane, when it was still ranked at the 1st place of the Great Millennia, it was the Fatelord of Creation who reigned supreme over all.
For some reason, the Fatelord of Creation in front of them did not even put Hellson in his eyes and continued to speak, as if he was just a projection or a clone.
"Jay Castle. I recorded this message since this is probably the first and the last time I may speak to you."
Jay gulped and wondered what this message was all about. As for Hellson, he was lost in his own thoughts as he observed everything that was about to happen.
"I want to thank you for everything for what you've done for me the past years. I want to thank you for returning everything the way it is supposed to be. I also want to show my sincerest apologies for your twisted fate. It is true that you restored everything back to the way it was, and I know the great sacrifice you've made.
All of your friends died and returned to your world, forgetting everything that occurred here. As for you, for the betterment of all, you cut off your connection with your world. I am truly sorry for this and for my incompetence. If only I haven't been foolish enough to open up the Dimensional Gate..."
The Fatelord Of Creation's projection suddenly took out a small golden cube. The golden cube had six gemstones embedded on each of its sides. When Hellson saw it, he dropped on his knees and was stupefied when he saw it. It was just too familiar.
"This is the Multidimensional Astral Gate, my ultimate creation, which also caused Levendricus to turn into something called the Great Millennia or something. I don't know how my ultimate creation ended up in your hands, but I beg of you to destroy it. If you don't, then another Dimensional Gate will appear and everything you worked for will be reset."
The Fatelord of Creation's projection slowly vanished after saying that.
Instead of mulling over the words of the Fatelord of Creation, Jay quickly looked at Hellson who was sweating crazily for some reason.
"Hey, didn't you say you used the Multidimensional Astral Gate to travel around the dimensions and got stuck on Earth causing me and the players to end up here?"
"No, impossible... this can't be."
"Hellson, tell me the truth!" Jay shouted since he knew Hellson was still hiding something regarding the Multidimensional Astral Gate.
"You told me you were the one who created the Multidimensional Astral Gate! Hellson! Tell me the truth!" Jay shouted.
"I didn't create it. Did you remember how I told you how I saw different worlds and dimensions when I was a child? When I was daydreaming?" Hellson said to Jay with a ghastly look on his face.
"Yes. And your daydreaming ended whenever you see Earth."
"Indeed. But during one time, in one of my daydreams, everything turned black and a wisp appeared to me. It spoke to me and tempted me, asking if I want to visit any of the worlds I dreamed of."
"And you said yes?" Jay said and tried his best not to punch Hellson for not telling him this until now.
"Yes... and for some reason, when I stopped daydreaming, the Multidimensional Astral Gate was already in the palm of my hand. Curious to what it is, I activated it and ended up in another dimension, another world. Then I suppose I've already told you what I did after that."
"If what the Fatelord of Creation said is true, everything you use the Multidimensional Astral Gate, a Dimensional Gate appears. And every time a Dimensional Gate appears, the abnormalities in this world or dimension, or whatever, increases? And you said you used it around a thousand times?" Jay said as his fingers sunk into his palms, still trying his best not to punch Hellson.
"Yes."
Jay did not know what he should do now and was lost in his thoughts. He cannot control himself anymore and punched Hellson in the face.
Hellson got thrown to the wooden desk due to the impact of the punch. Jay knew Hellson would not die from that so he did not bother to look at him anymore.
Jay left the Mind Room with his thoughts in shambles.
"What am I even doing here? I can just kill myself and return to Earth and leave all of this behind. I am not a miracle worker nor a god. I can't fix what others break out of goodwill."
...
"Congratulations. So, what Worldly Law did you comprehend?" The Chicken Lord immediately spoke up as Jay left the Mind Room and opened his eyes.
"Wait, I thought Nuggets was the one carrying me..." Jay wondered to himself.
"I wanted to keep you safe just in case someone attacked us while you were in contemplation." The Chicken Lord replied.
Then suddenly, the Chicken Lord felt Jay lying down on his back and grabbed on tightly. His feathers suddenly felt a bit wet and he thought Jay was overacting in showing his thanks.
"No need to thank me. We're good friends." The Chicken Lord said as he glanced at his back. But he was shocked when he saw that Jay was actually hugging him as tears flowed down his eyes.
"Ummm... Jay? Are you alright?"
"I don't know and I don't care anymore." Jay said as he closed his eyes, trying to prevent more tears from coming out. He did not even know why his tears came out since he was lost in his thoughts about what he should do from now on.
"Jay! What's wrong! Speak to me!" The Chicken Lord said loudly out of concern for Jay. He never saw Jay this heartbroken before. When he checked Jay's situation using his chicken skills, he saw that Jay's mind was in shambles, his feelings were a mess, and his soul was in disarray.
Just as he was about to try something, Jay spoke up.
"Can I ask you something?"
"What is it?"
"If you learned that one of your closest friends kept something important from you, made you clean up the mess they made, and did not give you an option whether you want to do so or not, what would you do?" Jay asked as he rubbed his eyes and wiped his tears.
"I would punch him or her in the face. Throw some curses, and if he or she does not apologize or make amends, I will denounce our friendship."
"Then what if you have these choices:
Return to your original world and live out what your life is supposed to be, forgetting everything you've experienced.
Or stay in the current world you are in, enjoy the thrill of fantasy, live another life and go on a wondrous adventure. Save those who needs to be saved, kill those who need to be killed. Train and become the strongest. Learn the concepts of magic.
What would you choose?"
"To be honest with you, I won't choose any of those two choices." The Chicken Lord said which made Jay a bit curious to what he has to say.
"Instead of choosing, I will create and forge a new path, a better choice."
"I see."
Jay suddenly took out Night Sky from the Storage Orb for some reason. The Chicken Lord was wondering what Jay was up to now.
"Chicken Lord, do you have a name?" Jay asked as he continued rubbing his eyes since it was really getting itchy from the tears he wiped.
"Why is he asking me that now?" The Chicken Lord thought to himself and told Jay that his name was Muscles.
"Muscles, can I ask you a favor?"
"Okay..." The Chicken Lord quickly agreed and wondered what the hell is happening. Jay was acting really weird right now.
"Please take care of my friends..."
Tears flowed down from Jay's eyes again as he smiled at the Chicken Lord. His right hand was holding Night Sky and his left hand was touching the Chicken Lord's neck.
'Touch of Blizzard!'
Jay quickly used the spell and froze a tiny part of the Chicken Lord's neck, numbing him, causing him to plummet down from the skies.
"What are you-" The Chicken Lord was shocked why Jay suddenly attacked him, but just as he was about to ask, he saw Jay stabbing himself.
Jay thrusted Night Sky through his chest, targeting his heart.
"JAY!!!"
It wasn't only the Chicken Lord who shouted. Roasted Boar, Abyssal Angel, Bloody Harvest, and Nuggets shouted and panicked.
Jay knew that everyone might have some lifesaving spell or something, so he created a gigantic version of the Egg Bomb and detonated it, blasting his entire body to smithereens.
Nice ending for the story don't you think? Nah, just kidding. This is not the end of the Legend of the Chicken Hero.
But since I am following the original plot that I made, this weird chapter in the story is necessary. But don't feel downhearted, this is not the first time Jay died in the story. His first time dying in the story was when his balls got shot with an arrow.
Good day everyone! Have a nice time reading stuff.
