Our Journey Together (Philippines - Batangas)

They woke up early the next day to get ready for trekking. They are going to Mt. Maculot. Both Shin and Jungye love outdoor activities and climbed different mountains whenever they have free time.

It took them 3 hours to reach the Cuenca, Batangas. They lined up for registration and asked a guide for their trek.

While they are walking to the foot of the mountain, the guide asked Shin. "Ma'am, you look pretty and the man with you is handsome. You look good together! Is he your husband?" then the guide glanced at Jungye. Shin doesn't exactly know what to say about his question so she also stare at Jungye waiting for him to answer the question for them.

Jungye: "no we are not married. I am her boyfriend" then he smiled looking at Shin.

Shin blushed when she heard what Jungye said to the guide. She smiled awkwardly to Jungye and focused her attention at the road they are walking. They are near the mountain and they will start the trekking in a few.

Jungye fell on deep thoughts after answering the guide's question about their relationship. He realized what he really feels for her. He wants to let everyone know that this woman walking beside her is his' and he truly loves her. However, he is having a doubt whether she feels the same, thinking of that happened the last day when they accidentally met her ex.

So before anything else, he is starting to mark his territory and claiming her and pronouncing himself as the official boyfriend. 'She didn't say anything but just smiled when I said I am his boyfriend...maybe....later...I have to get courage and tell her' He thought.

The trekking is easy just the way to the top is very steep and sometimes Shin tripped along the way. Her pants is now messy from the muddy road. They are both laughing on how careless Shin walks. Her balance is not that good too so Jungye is always mindful of her whenever they need to climb. He held her hand and pull her up whenever the rocks are high and Shin can't reach it.

Finally, after few hours of walking and climbing, they reached the peak of Mt. Maculot. Both of them are standing on the cliff overlooking the lake and in the middle is the Taal Volcano. The guide took solo photos of them.

Then Jungye asked the guide if he can also take both pictures of him and Shin standing at the cliff together. After the taking few photos, Jungye stood still and looked facing Shin. His face is serious with mixed emotions. Shin just stare at Junge thinking what is he thinking and if he wants to say something. Then suddenly he held her hand...

Jungye: " Shin, please listen to me... I think...no I am sure... I fell in love with you... I know it's crazy that we met just few months ago and decided to travel together...but those times that we are together almost 24/7, I realized that these feelings that I can't explain whenever I think of you...it's because I love you."

Shin was speechless about his revelations. Her mouth fell open and the wind started to blow. They are standing on the cliff and one wrong move, they will fall down at the bottom of the mountain and he suddenly told her about his feelings. 'well, isn't it romantic to tell the woman you love about what you feel after a long trekking...and the scene is amazing'

Shin:" I....Jungye..." she hugged Jungye from his waist and pulled his shirt's collar so she can give him a quick kiss on his lips. " I actually feel the same way.. I don't know what it was before but I got jealous when you went out with another backpacker and you wandered the whole day together...then I realized, I want you and I don't want any woman to be close to you... well your family and friends are exception of course" Then she laughed at the thought how jealous she was that time. "Jungye, I also love you."

When Jungye heard what Shin said, he kissed her passionately for a minute then pulled her closer. Then he screamed on the peak of the mountain "Shin, I love youuuuuuu!!"

Shin and the guide laugh how corny Jungye is but who cares, they are in love and finally told each other how they really feel.

After the long trek at Mt. Maculot, they went back to their hotel at Tagaytay City. Shin took shower to remove the mud she got from trekking. When she came out of the bathroom Jungye is sitting at the chair near the bathroom door and intently looking at her.

Shin:" Sorry I took too much time taking shower." she said apologetically.

Jungye:" It's ok... You smell so nice..like rose petals" and gave her a quick kiss before entering the bathroom.

Shin was nervous as she lay down on the bed. She's waiting for Jungye to come out. ' omg! this is it or what?' She is really nervous and anticipating something on their first night together as a "couple"

Few minutes later, Jungye came out of the shower with just a towel wrapped around his waist. He dried his hair and went to the bed to lay down beside Shin.

He laid down beside her and pulled her closer. Shin looked so calm on the outside but she was panicking on the inside. 'omg! he is naked and just a towel wrapped around his waist'

Shin:" Wait...Jungye, what.... are you going to sleep with just a towel on?" she asked nervously.

Jungye chuckled hearing what she said "Do I need to put clothes on? It will be gone later, so why bother putting clothes on?" he whispered on Shin's ear.

It gave shiver down to her spine and her little hairs from her nape to her back suddenly rose.

Shin: " will be gone? what do you...." before she can finish her words, Jungye suddenly kissed her with full of passion which she accepted wholeheartedly...until the kiss deepens..
