This was her first time visiting Chen Yiran's apartment.

As the light rain fell from the evening sky, Tianxin adjusted the backpack on her shoulder, then carefully pushed open the apartment building's front door.

"Who are you looking for, little girl?" The building administrator looked up and casually asked the young girl standing hesitantly at the entrance.

"I... I'm here to deliver cold medicine to my brother..." Tianxin hesitated for a moment before answering the administrator.

"Which floor does your brother live on?"

"The nineteeth floor."

"Ah... You must be Mr. Chen's younger sister then. You can go up, the lift is over there." The administrator pointed to the elevator on Tianxin's right, then returned to read his newspaper.

"Thank you..." Tianxin softly thanked him, then made her way to the lift.

With a 'ding', the elevator doors opened. A cheery couple exited, and after they passed, Tianxin stepped inside.

With trembling fingers, she pressed the button for the nineteeth floor. She watched as the numbers on the screen jumped, her heart pounding in her chest.

"Nineteenth floor..." The pleasant female voice of the elevator announced. Tianxin took a deep breath, then stepped out.

There was only one apartment on the nineteeth floor, and across the hall was Chen Yiran's home.

Clutching the keys in her hand, Tianxin filled with nervous anticipation and walked towards the door.

She gently turned the lock, hesitated for a moment, then pushed the door open.

The apartment was silent. Several pairs of men's shoes were scattered haphazardly by the entrance, and no lights were on in the living room. The dim light cast an air of listlessness.

After Tianxin stepped inside, she carefully closed the door.

"The first room on the left is the bedroom... the first room on the left is the bedroom..." she quietly recited the instructions Shen Xin had given her, before gently pushing open the bedroom door.

The bedroom was slightly brighter than the living room, but it was still quite dim.

Tianxin's gaze fell onto the figure lying on the large bed. It was just discernible in the dim light. The person seemed to be asleep.

She walked towards the bed on tiptoe, gently placed the cold medicine on the bedside table, and used the faint light from the window to study the figure on the bed.

His hair was tousled, spilling over the pillow. His eyes were tightly closed, with long eyelashes casting faint shadows over his eyes. His straight nose, attractive lips pressed tightly together. If not for the pallor that made him look weak, he would seem just like any other sleeping person.
