Hoffman's Game - 1

At that moment, anger surged through Mike's veins, and he cursed, "This despicable bastard!"

He pounded the table with his fist, venting his frustration.

Then, addressing Jigsaw, he exclaimed, "Look at the chaos you've created! Kidnapping children? He's not like you; he's a sick pervert!"

Mike's voice reverberated with indignation.

Jigsaw gazed at Mike, a faint smile curling at the corners of his mouth.

Mike noticed the twisted grin on Jigsaw's face, fueling his desire to beat him to a pulp.

However, he restrained himself, knowing that he needed Jigsaw alive to secure the release of the director's daughter.

With one hand gripping Jigsaw and the other holding Amanda, Mike led them to a wooden house—a secret chamber.

Mike recognized it as one of two hidden chambers in Westwood County.

He concealed a gun behind his back and fastened a bullet belt around his waist before entering the cabin with his captives.

Kicking open the door of the wooden house, Mike assessed the situation carefully.

He immediately noticed a wheelchair in the living room, presumably meant for Jigsaw.

Mike settled Jigsaw into the wheelchair and then, unexpectedly, the TV switched on.

A voice emerged from the television, stating, "You're a drag racing enthusiast and a person who enjoys threatening others. Now, you'll experience the feeling of being threatened."

As the voice spoke, a video appeared on the screen, showing a woman tied to a spinning disk with an iron chain around her neck.

Once again, the voice on the TV resounded, "In the next 60 minutes, you will face a series of obstacles to reach your friend. If you fail to reach her within the allotted time, she will die. Life or death, Mike, it's up to you."

When Mike saw the woman on the screen, he realized it was Giselle.

How had she been captured?

Wasn't she on a trip?

It turned out that upon her return, Giselle had wanted to check on Mike, but she fell into the clutches of Detective Hoffman, who orchestrated the game.

Mike's heart burned with anger as he beheld Giselle, her neck bound by an iron chain.

"I suggest you release me and let her go. If I catch you, I'll tear you apart," Mike roared at Jigsaw, pointing at the clown on the TV screen.

Aware of Hoffman's likely hiding place, Mike resolved to find him.

A red light illuminated Mike's path, guiding him forward.

Entering a room, Mike discovered the former gym owner tied up inside.

Mike couldn't help but resent that everyone he knew had been apprehended.

The gym owner, recognizing Mike, desperately gestured towards a tape recorder.

Mike activated the device.

A voice emanated from the recorder, introducing itself as Bob, Mike's former boss.

It accused Bob of using deceitful advertising to trick customers.

The voice continued, "If he doesn't shut up today, he will be punished. There's a key inside the lightbox. You must retrieve the key from the ropes to free Bob. You have only one minute to retrieve the key and turn off the machine. If time runs out, four nails will pierce Bob's neck, silencing him forever. The louder the sound, the closer the nails get to Bob's neck, hastening his demise."

Mike surveyed the contraption and, aiming his gun, shot the machine, severing the power cord.

He then used a knife to knock out Bob, swiftly extracting the key with a forceful twist.

Bob regained consciousness, groaning in pain, but the machine had ceased its movement.

After rescuing Bob, Mike instructed him, "Run away!"

Mike pressed on, searching for the next challenge.

Approaching a door, Mike opened it, revealing the director inside.

This scene was entirely new to Mike, who had only seen Saw 1-3.

Observing the distressing scene before him, Mike understood that he needed to lift the parallel bars, enduring the pain caused by the two iron vertebrae beneath his feet to halt the machine's operation.

Suddenly, a clown locked inside a cage burst through the wall and declared, "Now, fear courses through your veins. You're uncertain if you deserve to survive. Before you stand a chief who lacks the ability, relying solely on power. He disregarded his sworn duty and chose to turn a blind eye for personal gain. Once the mechanism is activated, his eyes and mouth will be pierced. It's up to you whether you'll intervene on his behalf or not."

Mike couldn't help but shout, "I fear nothing!"

In response, the chief cried out, "Help me! Save me! Save my daughter!"

Mike swiftly shot off the two iron vertebrae with his pistol, then lifted the parallel bars.

For Mike, this was a simple task, and after 30 seconds, the machine ceased its operation.

At that moment, Mike shot the clown doll, shattering it to pieces. He hoped to uncover any hidden individuals.

Mike instructed the director, "Stay here for a moment. I'll bring your daughter."

He opened the door, entered a corridor, and as he approached a door, it closed behind him automatically.

On the other side of the door stood a little girl wearing a helmet.

Mike recognized her as the director's daughter.

He said to the girl, "Let's play a game. We'll see who can stay still the longest. Don't move when you hear any noise!"

The little girl responded confidently, "I promise to win this game. I'll be better than you."

A smug expression graced her face.

Mike declared, "The game begins."

Surveying his surroundings, Mike noticed a large hole in front of him, with scattered wooden planks strewn about—some sturdy, others frail.

The planks formed a narrow path that only one person could traverse. Beneath the hole lay a basement, approximately two or three meters deep.

Falling wouldn't result in death or disability.

Examining the key, glancing at the distant little girl and door, Mike formulated a plan.

Embracing innovation, Mike realized the key was meant to unlock the girl's helmet.

This time, Mikedecided not to listen to the recorder's nonsensical ramblings.

Approaching a movable door, Mike exerted force, pulling it down and propping it against the hollowed-out section.

He tested its strength and found it to be sturdy.

Moving on to a solid wooden plank, Mike retrieved the key and positioned the plank in front.

He repeated this process until he reached the little girl.

Mike thought it best for the girl to wear the helmet now to alleviate her fears.

He whispered to her in a safe spot, ensuring her face remained hidden beneath the helmet.

Softly, Mike said to the girl, "Don't move! I'm going to lift you up. Whoever makes a sound loses."

The little girl let out a smug snort, seemingly proclaiming that she wouldn't move or make a sound.

Mike held the girl in one arm while clutching his gun in the other.

He pressed the little girl's ear tightly against his chest, covering her other ear with his hand to ensure she couldn't hear anything.
