(Contest Book) The Alicorn Crystal and The Dark Dragon Crystal: Book 1

" Get Asha and Snowy out of here! " Dad yelled at my Mom,

soon we were running with Snowy running beside us.

I held out my free arm so Snowy could jump onto it when she landed on my arm.

I pulled her close to me.

I still had my small backpack on my back with Snowy's cat food packs in it,

but everything else was back at camp with Dad.

" Mom what's going on? " I asked Mom,

because I was becomeing very frighten,

she started answer, but was cut off by a wolf's howl.

" That's what's going on? " Mom said,

looking behind us as we ran.

" MOOK MUT!! " Snowy try to warn me,

but I couldn't understand her,

suddenly out of nowhere a jet black wolf with blood red eyes

jumped in front of us making me and my Mom stop.

" Where do you think you three are going? " the wolf asked,

" Asha run and don't look back. " Mom said, looking at the jet black wolf.

" Mom... " I started, " GO NOW! RUN! " Mom yelled,

I took two steps back before turning and ran away trying hard not to cry.

I looked down at Snowy in my arms,

" I WILL PROTECT YOU NO MATTER WHAT, SNOWY! " I yelled,

- That's all I needed to hear - said a mysterious voice in my head,

suddenly I felt a searing pain on my right head, then on my right shoulder,

and then right between my eyebrows, I tripped, but I kept myself from falling and I kept running,

- Jump! - before I could think my instincts took over,

jumping in to the air not knowing why I was jumping when my feet hit the ground I stumbled and fell.

I was about to get up to start running again but as I could got up, the voice in my head stopped me.

- You're safe you don't have to run anymore. Look behind you. - the voice said,

I turned my head to look behind me and I was shocked by what I was seeing,

because behind me was a 50 foot long canyon that drop 500 feet down,

on the other end of where I had jumped from the pack of wolves stood glaring at me from the other side,

I looked at the jet black wolf who had blood dripping from his mouth,

and told him with my mind to jump and without any hesitation he jumped.

He then plummeted like a stone, howling all the way down, after he hit the ground far below I entered into the minds of the rest of his pack,

- Do you all want to meet the same fate as your Alpha or will you back down and run away? - I said to them,

but before I could make another wolf jump to their death, the wolves turned and ran away,

but one of them stop a dark gray wolf look back at me, " This isn't over Guardian we will return and you won't be able to escape so easily again. " she said,

" We'll see about that. " I said to her, When the dark gray wolf was gone. I fell and blacked out.
