Chapter 36 – Second City.

After encountering some random trashes and taking them out, we headed straight to the field boss location the Pigman chief.

The boss monster in question was demi human monster with high defense, HP and strength. Some of the boss underlings were able to take head shot from GreyHunt and survived.

Well, they were quite slow, so the others could dodge their attacks without much problem and the boss monster was pretty much just beefed up version of the normal one with some area attacks. It was able to kill multiple undeads sometimes with one or two attacks. The fight wasn't that hard or anything, it only took a bit of time since the enemy were tanky and all, but thanks to Oron and GreyHunt being our damage dealers, we didn't ended up spending too much time.

Overall, after finishing our last quest the town had to offer, we decided that it came time for us to finally leave the place and travel once again.

However before leaving, we decided to go to the adventurer guild once last time for some info.

"You wish to get to the capital city?" – asked the guild staff worker.

"Yea. Is there anything like means of transport, a merchant caravan or something that we can use?" – asked ClownFrog.

"I'm sorry to inform you, but people are still on the guard with the last incident regarding the 2 villages that were destroyed. Probably the merchants that travels in this area won't take you."

(Fuck. Well, it was obvious I was too hopeful, thinking that the situation could have already calmed down.)

"For fuck's sake. We have to walk again?" – said Shri.

"By the look of things, yea. At least until we get out from this place and enter different area." – said GreyHunt.

"But still, it sucks."

"…. Anyway, what is the settlements we should go miss? We would like to get to the capital as fast as possible, so we would like to visit some settlements and ask if anybody can offer us a ride or something that can help us get there faster." – asked ClownFrog.

"Let me check…. The distance from the capital city and this place. If you wish to try your luck with settlements then…. This path should do." – said the female guild staff worked while pointing with her finger on the map.

"The first location you would visit is a small village and afterwords you should travel to the trading city named Emerald, you won't have to make any detours and all while trying to reach that city. There is a good chance you would be able to get carriage ride from that city as well, so its good idea to go to it." – said the guild staff.

"I see. Thank you. Here. For the trouble." – said ClownFrog while handing 2 golden coins to the staff worker.

"Have a good luck on your journey!" – said the staff worker while the party was leaving the adventure guild.

"Well, I guess we have to walk again. By the look of things getting to the village will take around 2 days while getting to the city will take 3 to 4 days according to the info given by her. But we are talking here about no detours or any random trouble suddenly occurring along the way." – said ClownFrog.

"So, it can take us up to even 5 days or even more if we are unlucky to get to the city huh? Fuck me. I really want to tame a dragon or something that just carry me or something!" – said annoyed Shri.

"Well, its not like we can do anything about this sis. We couldn't find any monsters that we could use for the transport in the first place while hunting, so we have no choice but walk again." – said Oron.

After buying all necessary stuff and restocking our potions, we began once again traveling.

We did like the worker told us and headed to the village, it was on our path in the first place, so it wouldn't hurt us passing by that place.

After a 2 days of traveling, we manage to get to the village that was located between the town and the city.

We tried getting some ride after getting to the village and after some time Oron manage to found somebody. The guy that wanted to give us the ride was heading to the city, this time we were quite lucky. One of the farmers that was heading to the city to sell his good allowed us to accompany him if we work as his bodyguards until he gets to the city.

He was quiet stressed out still about the situation where the 2 villages were destroyed, so he was willing to hire us in exchange for a ride.

Ha…If only he knew that the people he hired as the bodyguards were the very same people that destroyed both of this villages and killed everybody living there. Well, there is no need for him to know that :3

The people around here were quite nice, so I guess we could consider sparing them when we will try to destroy this kingdom.

We didn't ruined into any big or serious trouble while ridding the carriage and somehow manage to arrive to the city earlier than we originally planned.

"Thanks man for the ride!" – said GreyHunt while getting off the carriage.

"No problem. Honestly, I was glad that you were with me. I kind of felt save with you guys around." – replied the villager that gave the party the raid.

(Well, we were the danger you were scared of, but there is no need to inform him about that.) – though GreyHunt.

"Bye!" – said the villager before driving off, leaving the party in front of the city gate.

"…"

"Well, we are finally here." – said Oron.

The party finally manage to arrive at the trading city called Emerald.

"Yeb. When we were talking with the villager along the way, he said this place specialization is trading many different stuffs, that there is a lot of shops here offering different stuff as well as tons of merchants coming here. Maybe it will be good idea to take a look around and see if they have anything interesting to offer and all. Even slightly better equipment than our current one would be still consider a good upgrade or maybe we will be offered a job that pays well?" – said Oron.

"Hm… Okay. Then we split up." – said ClownFrog.

After getting to the city, each of us were assigned different roles.

Shri and Oron were assigned to the scout out different shops, specifically the equipment selling shops and some other places. Their job is to see if there is anything worth buying for any of us that can make us even a little bit stronger.

GreyHunt was put in charge of finding any interesting jobs or quest we can take, since we have to make sure we have to grow stronger before we run into something bigger than us.

While the other 3 were busy with their jobs, I went to the library, in hopes of getting any form of information or anything that can help us out. If we are lucky, we maybe be able to get something good.

"…." – ClownFrog was walking on the streets of the city.

After walking a bit, ClownFrog finally located the library and began walking straight towards it, before finally getting inside.

"Greetings. How can I help you today?" – asked the male librarian.

"I'm looking for the books regarding the old territory of Umil kingdom and maybe about the creatures that live there. Do you have anything?" – asked ClownFrog.

"Hm…. Sorry, but I don't think we have much books related to the Umil kingdom here." – replied the librarian.

(Well, its better than nothing. Maybe I will find at least some useful info.)

"I don't mind."

"Okay, but before reading, you need to pay up the fee."

ClownFrog took out coins from his inventory before handing them over to the librarian.

"Section 1C should have information you are looking for." – said the librarian while pointing her finger towards the direction where ClownFrog should look for information.

"Thank you."

ClownFrog walked away from the librarian.

"…."

After the ClownFrog was gone, a brown haired female wearing a sister outfit walked towards the librarian.

"Oh? Are you finished?" – asked the librarian.

"Yea. Here is the book back. I have to go now, so sorry for not putting it back myself." – replied the female wearing a sister outfit.

"No problem. Take care." – said the librarian.

The sister left the library in hurry after giving the book back.

"…"

(I remember him. He is definitely that guy from back then.)

(But I wasn't expecting to run into that guy here out of nowhere and so suddenly.)

[Player Name: Amari] [Member of the Silver Tiger guild.]

{{For somebody wondering, she is the priest from the chapter 29.}}

(This guy is probably isn't the only one here, there is a good chance the rest of his group is in the Emerald city as well!)

(I have to warn the others about this!) – though the player Ami while quickly leaving the area in hurry.

ClownFrog would spend hours in the library, trying to gather any useful information for his party.

"…"

(Nothing huh?)

(There wasn't really many books here about Umil kingdom here and even those books I found didn't had anything useful.)

(There was books about the trades or unique materials or products you could get from that place, but those kind of information are completely useless for us.)

(I the end, I couldn't get anything. I guess we really have no choice but no go to the capital city in order to get ANY information that can help us.) – though ClownFrog while closing the book.

ClownFrog opened the guild chat.

["Found anything?"] - ClownFrog.

["I manage to find few good quest in the adventurer guild that maybe a worth doing."] – GreyHunt.

["I went to the equipment shop, but it was offering the same stuff that we could buy in the town."] – Shri.

["I manage to track one shop that kind offers a good equipment, but is very princely. They can also make costume made equipment."] – Oron.

["Oh! Nice!"] – Shri.

["What about you? Did you found anything in the library?"] – GreyHunt.

["Nope. They barely have any books about the Umil kingdom and the books they had to offer nothing useful that we wanted. Pretty much, I got nothing."] – ClownFrog.

["By the look of things, we have to go to the capital city to even have a chance that we can find something there."] – ClownFrog.

["Too bad. Well, we have to go through the capital city anyway to get to the old Umari kingdom territory."] – Oron.

["Yea. Anyway, what is the highest difficulty quest the guild can offer GreyHunt?"] – ClownFrog.

["Apparently, the highest difficulty quest involves monster with level 130. I also asked some other stuff and apparently the monsters that can be found near the capital can be between level 100 – 160."] – GreyHunt.

(Oh? That interesting. I wasn't expecting something like that. So, if we were to go to the capital bit earlier, it wouldn't bother us too much?) – though ClownFrog.

["Then should we head to the capital after getting to the level 100?"] – ClownFrog.

["Hm…. Don't know. It maybe a good idea to look around first before deciding that. We maybe able to find something like an uncleared dungeon or maybe a quest that would a worth doing like Amaran chain quests."] – Oron.

["Agree. Try to look around and see if you can find anything special or interesting, it maybe will lead us to the quest and all."] – GreyHunt.

["Okay. Look around and see if you can find anything. If nobody will find anything or this place sucks for farming, we will relocate to the capital city ASAP."] – ClownFrog.

["Got it?"] – ClownFrog.

["Yea."] – Shri.

["OK."] – GreyHunt.

["KK."] – Oron.
