Amber Stanford had always been afraid of the dark. To make matters worse, she quickly became the target of the school bully - a troublemaker named Noah Griffin. Noah was the kind of guy who seemed to take pleasure in making other people miserable, and Amber was an easy target. She was a nerd at school, with no sense of fashion or style, and she was also the poorest girl in her class.
