Users were able to compete with their friends, trying to achieve earn bigger and better rewards and accolades. It increased productivity and satisfaction across the board due to his revolutionary app.
Despite his fame and wealth that the app earned him, there was still many things he wished to do, and never enough time to get them all done. When he died, Reyvis's soul was picked up by an entity that was fascinated by Reyvis's creations and work.
By sheer dumb-luck, the entity had fished out a nascent soul on its last legs shortly before discovering Reyvis. Thus, the entity decided to bind the nascent soul to the young man's in order for it to make it into the cycle of rebirth, and in exchange, he created a slightly upgraded version of the system Reyvis had made previously and bound it to his soul along with his new companion.
Thus Reyvis's epic began.
