very interesting. I have been looking for fanfic on different empires . I have read the roman empire, French empire and German or prussia. Haven't find one with British empire yet. glad to see a ottoman one.One thing I would say is not get into religion too much as they would be too much opinionated comments here. Not saying to completely avoid this but you can try to sort of control it. And hope you can complete this story

feels like this passage along with many other could be cut in half or at least reduced by 20 percent. You don't need to describe every situation with adjectives
