This is an AU! In a world where Earth is dying and humanity struggles, virtual reality games, especially the VR game YGGDRASIL, provide an escape. Momonga, the leader of a powerful race in YGGDRASIL, remains online as the game faces shutdown. Alone, he reconnects with a comrade, Bukubukuchagama, before YGGDRASIL's closure. Meanwhile, in Nazarick's Royal Suite floor, an androgynous character named Thoth, a trapped soul, anticipates freedom as the game ends. Upon the game's closure, Thoth gains control of his movements and discovers his angelic form. As Thoth explores his new abilities and surroundings, a mysterious world awaits beyond the virtual realm. With an enigmatic library, magical prowess, and a goal to adapt to the new world, Thoth embarks on an adventure, uncovering his true potential and encountering diverse characters within the Great Tomb of Nazarick. As the story unfolds, alliances, conflicts, and loyalty to the supreme one, Momonga, shape the fate of Nazarick and its inhabitants in ways not even the Supreme Beings could anticipate -x-x-x- I've only seen the anime, and have only read the later half of the LN (at which point, the story will be completely different anyway so it won't matter), so forgive any inaccuracies. A long, long time ago there was a small black worm, a human reborn with a system in Teyvat. This worm met people and grew and grew until it became truly massive. A Leviathan. And yet, as its lifespan seemed to stretch on and on, it realized its immortality. And as its age stretched on and on into the thousands of years, it forgot many things. The cooking of its mother, her face, her voice, now all it remembers is the concept of her, the vague warmth of her embrace. It forgot what it's like to be a human, and its soul yearned to remember. With its age reaching the third thousand, its system is deactivated, determining that its host has reached the apex of all life in Teyvat. Untouchable by even Celestia itself. And yet, with a single catastrophic error, it deleted all of the skills, abilities, and spells with it. Now all that the previously untouchable Patriarch has is its withering mind, its vague memory, and its colossal body. With its subordinates- fellow Leviathans far older than it, unhappy with its rule, it left them behind to journey across Teyvat once more. New friends shall be made, old allies reunited, and at the end of it all- Immortality will either be a curse- or a boon. -x-x-x- This is an AU of Genshin Impact, I will change things as I see fit. Alexandra is no fool, not the type to be self-righteous or blame others for their decisions, but she is what many would consider a fool. She didn't know how or why, but as her soul left her body, she could feel the pleas and cries of hundreds of thousands, shouting into the ether for aid. Perhaps God had a plan, maybe God is evil, Alexandra did not care, for her mission was clear. She will protect and provide for the weak, she will fight evil no matter how vile it is, and for as long as she can, she will ensure that good triumphs.
