I appreciate your suggestions into this. I am not a native English speaker so whenever I’m writing, in my head I am translating my local language to English to adapt. I feel like it feels more fantastical when someone says “you are the wait of us all” Something a mix between “fruit of our labor” + “we’ve been waiting” So like I don’t need to write that these people worked hard to devise a system which then brought Mc and he became the fruit of their labor. I just wrote one sentence “you are the wait of us all” to convey both feelings together. Maybe I’m wrong about this, but hey, if I correct this sentence now, all your awesome comments and this discussion will be gone. I’ll leave it as it is for future readers to see haha :D
Ah, thank you for pointing out. I actually changed the system message to fifth, but forgot to change it over here. I really appreciate you taking time to comment :D
I just hope this novel doesn’t flop. I am really putting in the hours and doing my best to learn and adapt. And you did catch the strengths correctly. Sadly, even with good character interactions and stuff, without proper action and adventure or system even, many won’t continue reading
This felt more like a volume end than the actual volume end lmao And I think I should’ve spaced out the chapters because him performing mountain slash got overshadowed xD And I’ve finally taken power system seriously and started mentioning it more If you haven’t figured it out yet, then well, I can tell you, power system and fights are my weak areas and I’m doing my best to work on it, but I still slip at times
Thank you for reading. Are you enjoying the novel so far?
Could be for sure. When I write, I already have the scenes going on in my head and am immersed, so I may sometimes have made the prose more concise than needed. Unfortunately you know, there’s no way of knowing whether something is landing or not until I’ve published it and people have read it. I can’t keep updating old chapters but I can surely keep the learnings in mind and write better ones going forward.
Vivienne meant that losing his memories changes nothing about how she sees Vincent. He’s alive, he’s still her son, and he still knows and loves his family. Everything he forgot can be learned again, so to her, none of that matters compared to simply having Vincent healthy and kicking. She called his name on purpose and then he responded with “mom” It was a short interaction, but basically had a deeper meaning related to what I said above
You know what has actually happened? I’ve lost readers instead because the bloodline isn’t so pure anymore. Can’t win anyone these days
Not really. The nobles benefit indirectly from the merchants under them moving. And the nobles cannot stop the merchants either because we’ve seen before that riots might happen. So the nobles can’t exactly stop them or have enough control
