So now, the deciding point comes back to your writing, how you narrate or convey your ideas through your writing.. Btw, have you read the other alt Ottoman history on Wtr-lab? The author there knows his stuff and the story is quite impressive, although the beginning part and religious explanation are rubbish and tend to be blasphemous from an Islamic perspective.

Besides, couldn't the Ottoman nationalism concept not be truly Islamic? If so, it should be possible to slowly change the foundations of other religions through indoctrination, as I mentioned earlier.

It's a bit disappointing to be honest because Ottoman in this case is too exclusively Turkish.. You honestly don't have to convert people by force, you can do displacement. In this way, Mehmet could push the "stubborn" people who could not be Ottomanized to areas such as western and eastern Europe. If the population decreases significantly, you can bring in people from other Muslim countries.. this avoids forced conversions while increasing the chances of Ottoman nationalism. Doesn't this violate Muslim principles? I don't know, but it shouldn't. Alternatively, Mehmet could fully embrace his historical title "Kayser-i Rûm", framing the empire as a New Islamic Rome rather than a Turkish state. He could just use some smart political moves like absorb the remaining Byzantine and Balkan noble families into the high court (or even marriages), so when the common people see their own traditional leaders embracing Islam and ruling this New Rome, they will quickly follow. if that's still a bit idealistic, then another highly realistic option is for Mehmet to target the next generation through a meritocratic academy system. By doing this, Mehmet can subtly shape the children's ideology from an early age, in other word, indoctrination. I highly recommend the first option as it is quite stable, although it does cause some resistance, this can be resolved in many ways. I believe it can be done in these years, because after all, this is still the 15th century, the ideas of revolution, especially nationalism, should not be too mature yet, or even exist.. Therefore, I think the Ottoman nationalism idea should be able to work because if it's not exist or mature yet, Mehmet could like distorting the meaning of nationalism more towards the politics he wants.. You know what I mean right? And also, the plus poin of this path is that it also makes it easier to integrate with possible vassal states or countries with non-Turkish ethnicities. If I understood Ottoman history better, I'd definitely write a story like this myself, which shows how much I love and appreciate your premise. ​As an outsider's analysis, the real Ottoman Empire collapsed due to localized nationalism (Arab, Greek, Turkish, etc.). If you want them to survive longer, my suggestion is to create a unified civic nationalism and not a "Turkish nation" instead, like an "Ottoman/Osmanlis nation" or "Roman/Rum" identity that transcends specific ethnicities. ​This might be controversial since it erases ethnic diversity, including Turkish nationalism itself, but it’s the most realistic "what if" path for the empire to survive several centuries longer.... Please don't be offended, I'm just sharing this because I genuinely love ur work and the Ottoman history and want to see this story succeed.

Interesting. there's so much potential in it. Discovering the Continent of America, creating a significant vassals like in America (North and South), South Europe like Emirate of Granada, and even countries in Asia (West, South, North, East, South East, etc). I would like to see it coming to an end, not just hiatus like other authors. Even if you're using any type of AI in it (Well, as long as it's not excessive so that it significantly and unreasonably affects the plot and storyline and the language or the narrations remains human-like)..You should make it to an end. Even if the reader seems to be absent, you should know that I will still be reading this as long as the new chapter remains updated.
