By firearm era, I mean a time when civilians can easily get it, though via illegal means. Before that, firearms already existed, but they were only possessed by the government and military. Underworld people still mainly fought using bladed weapons. For reference, maybe you can imagine the triads in the 80s & 90s. Most of its members use knives or blades, only the boss or top brass have guns.

The increase comes from guild hostage token from a different guild. You can't get a second guild hostage token from the same guild. You must attack a different guild. Then you get the percentage increase, like tributes. You get more for invading multiple guilds, not by bullying the same guild over and over. The system doesn't allow that.
