I do hope you still exist, but to answer your question anyways, the ending was brainstormed to be a bit of a bitter sweet ending. Dakota ending up getting exposed and arrested spending years in jail with one ending being Oliver waits for her and they eventually get married and another possible ending where Oliver ends up with Gyll. I'm not likely to return to this novel as we no longer have the manuscripts but thank you for enjoying i have decided to come back to writing

it's literally a phobia. I know modern times has made some forget the true and devastating reality of a phobia, but it is a extreme irrational fear. his reaction is very extreme. it is for sure irrational. and it scares the soul out of him. he has a phobia
