Why would a football manager have a succesful relationship with an actress? Their respective careers take almost all the time they have available. Even worse is that an actress often needs to be away from home to film their projects. It's a very bad matchup and would not result in a succesful relationship. I don't really need to see the need for a romance in the story certainly not with his intelligence (which will be hard to find an intellectual partner), but if you do it would be logical to pick someone who will stay in England almost all the time. Emma doesn't act anymore to my knowledge but she has been exposed in the last years to be a self absorbed hypocrit. No way a smart guy like the MC could be together with her.
