Chapter 14

"Man, is this the place we will be staying?" Said Neil, in full shock.

"Why? As if you've never been to this kind of resort," said Larry.

"Well... You're not wrong, but the amount that we paid is small, remember? This resort is considered luxurious in this area." Neil said with curiosity.

It is a lavish resort, and even for the other participants, it's a shocking place given the amount they paid to participate. Not only them, but even the swimming club members who are the organisers are shocked. They are so amazed that the only thing they can do is look at one specific person.

The swimming club members then snapped out of it and started to prepare and distribute the rooms.

"Okay, guys, please gather up. Since the objective of this programme is to socialize among the participants, the room that you guys will be staying in will be decided by drawing lots. So, please, one by one, take the lots and search for your partner. Also, if by any chance you guys feel uncomfortable about this arrangement, please report and complain to the person beside me. Called him Archie. He will first evaluate your level of discomfort, then when he decides that you can change, only then will you be allowed to change room," explained the programme manager.

Archie looked confused as it was never his job to do so, but the programme manager ignored him before he could even complain.

The other swimming club's members just smiled cunningly and started to help the participants. They hold the lots box and go to each person one by one to draw.

Later, one by one start to find their partner, and thankfully, not many actually feel dissatisfied with the lots since mostly the participants are actually their own acquaintances.

The Trio also looked at the lots and checked each other's numbers; ironically, they all did not share the same numbers.

"Fuck, whose idea is this even?" Larry cursed, dissatisfied with this arrangement. He had already stepped toward Archie when Chaz suddenly blocked him from going further. Larry held himself back.

Chaz also did not have the same numbers as any of the Trio. Neil, on the other hand, seemed excited for Chaz. Well, this is a chance. Chaz can share the same room as Aven and open more opportunities.

However, unfortunately, Aven found his partner first before Chaz found his. Chaz doesn't feel anything. He himself pretty much feels uncomfortable sharing the same room as Aven.

In Chaz's mind, he has already decided to confess to Aven. Also at the same time, he is 50 percent sure that he might be rejected. So sleeping side by side will just be awkward for later, if he were rejected.

He has encouragement to confess largely due to Frank, but he himself also wanted to try at least once. He has always been surrounded by people who always change their lovers, so it makes him think that Aven might as well move on from his coma lover.

Archie came near Chaz; he saw the number that was being held by Chaz and said, "We share the same room". He showed his number to Chaz.

Neil on the side is in disbelief. 'What the hell?' is something that was said in his mind. He wanted to say something, but Chaz did not even try to find Aven to ask his lot number. Nothing he could do since the one pursuing seemed to just let go.

"Take this key first. I will go there later." Archie gave the key and left.

From afar, the Trio and Chaz can see Archie walk toward a girl. She was not part of the programme, obviously. They meet and hug directly. Even the others also witness the scene. Archie is known to be agitated every time someone touches him, so the fact that he hugs a girl only draws them to one conclusion. 'That's his girlfriend.'

Neil, as a busybody, started to analyze. It just naturally became his job now to find every little scoop he can.

"Wait, I know that girl!" said Neil.

"Who?" asked Chaz. Yeah, not Larry but Chaz.

Neil was shocked to see Chaz interested in gossip, but he just thought it might be because they are roommates that made him curious.

"The heir to this resort! As I said, this resort is fucking luxury in this area. It's basically because it's the Nova family's. That is Elmela, the heir that going to take over the resort," explained Neil.

"How the hell do you know that?" asked Larry confuse.

"Well, my mom does business with her grandma, Ms. Galen Nova," said Neil.

"Just with who do your mom don't do business with? Why does she know everyone? Even my father does business with her; Chaz's also," ranted Larry.

Well, because Neil's mom does business with both of Chaz's and Larry's parents, they became childhood friends.

Ignoring the scene of the two. The trio then started to search for their partner or roommate. Chaz, however still witnessing Archie and Elmela until they disappeared from his sight.

"Reminder, we will be gathering in this same place at 3 pm to start our program. So during the time you guys are free to do anything, as later when the programme starts, you will no longer be free as our schedules are packed," said the programme manager.

The participants started to go toward their rooms. Some are resting, some take a walk, and some go get their late lunch. They are free to do anything until the appointed time.

Chaz's room is basically beside Aven. He saw that Aven got out of the room, and he followed.

"Where will you go?" asked Chaz directly.

Aven looked at Chaz and smiled, "Oh, I will be going for a walk. Excuse me." He put up the wall directly in Chaz's face. He then right way goes his way.

Chaz is losing hope, seeing how Aven acts toward him. He feels that coldness in Aven much more clearly. Might be because he knows the truth, but he cannot accept it. This action has been visible since the beginning, but Chaz never realized it.
