What do u mean level-up?

A level-up novel tends to have distinct levels of power. The MC starts out weak, and gradually reaches new tiers of power, growing in strength as he does so. It's not quite a video game, but its close. It may not be level 1, 2, 10, etc, but tend to have distinct names. Golden Core, Core Formation, Second Soul, etc.

I see i thought it meant game elements like kill yo level up and stuff thanks anyway

This novel is above average as you said BUT DON"T WATCH THE DRAMA. The adaptation is so HORRIBLE that you end up with an 80s falling asleep and boring as heck CCCP documentary. IF you LOVE NOT BEING ENTERTAINED by all mans watch the Drama. But don't say i didn't warn you LOL.

Sad you keep ISSTH in the same bracket as that of CD ISSTH is a gem. Classic.

I'll agree CD is not as well written as ISSTH, but they are absolutely the same kind of novel. Learn to cultivate, beat people up, cultivate higher, tournament/war/raid, cultivate higher, great secrets/higher realms, cultivate higher, change the world, awesome battle, cultivate higher, final battle for fate of universe, I is now God, etc. Standard classic epic cultivation story. There are a LOT of novels like them out there. The cultivation systems and names change, but the kinds of events and the flow of the story are very similar. Way of Choices does not come across that way at all, even though it has elements of it.

You cant downgrade CD tho. The reason chinese many people joined the comunity was because of novels like Coiling Dragon which was one of the first to be fully translated to english

Coiling Dragon was the first TL Chinese story I read. I am not denigrating it. I am saying THIS IS A DIFFERENT KIND OF STORY. It's not endless pursuit of power to the next rank to rule all, only to find you're still pond scum compared to next rank and cultivate more and keep advancing up until you rule the universe. It's a very different style of novel.
