Honestly this is just a step above netorare. Definitely not NTR but just slightly better. MC takes over the body of a gangster who forced himself on the heroine and now he is taking responsibility for the actions of the body's previous owner. Like with other works that do this the author attempts to justify why his protagonist acts like some wimp, but honestly it just goes about poorly because it doesn't change the fact that the MC is taking responsibility for someone else's act.

That aside man I am quite serious, you added a bunch of justifications but at the end of the day, pre-fusion Damien and post-fusion aren't the same person, you literally said that yourself, pre-fusion Damien was the one that literally did everything, even the love for the heroine you used as a justification was pre-fusion Damien's feelings. It would be one thing if the circumstances forced him, but honestly taking responsibility won't really help post-fusion Damien in any way. Look at it this way, if you walked in on a crime, the criminal ran away and police found you at the scene of the crime and the criminal gone would you be like "yes police officer I did it"? Heck no you wouldn't, similarly post-fusion Damien's act of accepting the headaches involved with someone else's fun is literally just a crazy act that no reasonable human would do.

You're using the word "fusion", and you're still saying that? Their emotions and life experiences carry over and mix because of the "fusion", ffs. It's like he lived two lives, one as Daniel, and the other as Damien - with the latter suddenly gaining memories of his previous life. If you read up to chapter-18, it should all be clear by then.
