story has grammar errors and calls Ki the source of power in dragon Ball chi. which technically it is the same thing but it makes the story feel like a cringe cultivation novel. I found the whole system an interesting idea but giving him super Saiyan 4 right off the bat just feels like it makes the story a bad power fantasy. as come on make some context for him work for it like a training Arc or something.

I've never heard that before as I mostly watched the anime and they always called it ki and the few times I did read the manga I didn't see them use the word chi. I mostly associate chi with really bad Chinese cultivation novels.
Lord_Cynrik:It’s spelled chi in canon dragonball so that’s a weird complaint. I just checked my manga, and sure enough, during the fight vs King Piccolo in og dragonball, they call in chi. Maybe it’s different in the anime; but the source material, the manga, calls it chi.
Maybe the spelling is different in newer translations idk, my db and dbz manga was collected about 15 years ago but it all says Chi from what I could tell
