I love the story so far, but if there is a hidden twist to the story you have already sort of given part of it away. He recognized her but she doesn't him which usually means amnesia or reincarnation, but as it has not been long enough for a soul to be reborn and raised to a young ***** it leaves amnesia. Don't stop but maybe make it a bit harder to figure it out.
