Overall 5/10 i think the writing quality and imagery was 10/10 but the plot was just too repetitive. The mc would always find himself in some impossible situation time and time again just for him to survive because of plot armor. The power scaling was pretty shit aswell, it was hard to follow when his power increased or what power stage he was at. The mc would seemingly remember that he needed to spend time with his family more and not be so power focused every 100 chapters just for him to do the same thing over and over again. For a novel in general is was pretty good but for an awespec novel it was pretty shit.

10/10, the mc isn’t edgy or a pycho he’s just damaged but that doesn’t make him forgot his principles and that dosnt make him weak, he know when to kill, when to comfort, when to ask for help and when to walk away. He is a hero that doesn’t recognise himself as a hero. The betrayal part is superb giving a mix of complicated emotions such as anger to understanding. With the misunderstanding with Elle and the struggle with the priestess between duty and love. The story about betrayal it is about abandonment as the title states which I appreciate. I especially like how it’s starts almost at the end of the mc overal story it was very refreshing. Overal great novel, I was so hooked I read it in a day ! [img=recommend]

Really good novel so far, it’s like k drama Pokémon, good character development and overall plot.
