I intend to write it as close to the vanilla version of the game as possible.

I like that the book is mostly dialogue driven to keep the plot moving forward. The closeness of the two main characters is more friendship than brotherly; which I believe is a stronger bond (chosen family and all). I also love the differences in their personalities with one being more happy go lucky and the other the worrier. Good book thus far.

The book is good and the plot between the two gives a lot of room for the plot to develop. I only read as far as the free chapters but the inner character's personality is amusing along with her inner monologue sometimes becoming an outer one.

The author stages their world building in segments, allowing the reader to put it together while moving the plot forward. While the formatting can be a bit disorienting at first it is consistent. The pacing of the story reflects the manic state of the character's mind, turning from one topic to the next as the main character works through not only the danger of the moment but also the realities of the world he finds himself in.

Interesting premise on the system theme. The main character doesn't become all powerful without cost to himself. The interactions between characters are amusing with candid remarks.

The characters are developed and I enjoy the fact the MC is at least in her mid 20's and looking at the world from the viewpoint of an adult. While the writing isn't rich with descriptions the MC does make her impressions of the events and people in her life clear.

The author does a great job in giving us a good view of the world background and storyline. The characters are compellingly naïve coming into a larger city while learning some harsh life lessons along the way. For a first novel this really shows great promise for the author.
