Other frustrating things with a lot of inconsistency are the battle when cultivator are supposed to think really fast but it takes 10 seconds for a conversation or an attack charge time that are ridiculous. What’s the worse is related to distance and the size of the world and related to time. For the first case in the novel it took the inquisitor less than an hour to reach the sect but takes months/years for other to travel. When Yang Qing travels it almost seems like he went to most of the region on the continent and can reach anywhere in a matter of hours but then supposedly it’s super massive and when he announced the verdict of the impromptu outer disciple sect case it reached 500 000km which is only the "surrounding". It was said there’s hundreds of thousand of rank 4-5 org and thousands of rank 3 and higher with corresponding territory. Finally it’s the number of member of there order that doesn’t seems to make any sense. Let’s not even talk about their unreasonable progress and resource requirement, how many people would it takes to cover the continent but they are only elites. He travelled for his evaluations and there was 3 branches for a couple of rank 3 organisations, how many would you need to cover even a small part of the continent and that’s not even considering rank 2 and rank 1. Then it was said there was the requirement to be judge, special inquisitor, prison, and spy are only for those with golden and purple core but the number who have reached that is ridiculously low. Then the promotion ceremony that involves 1/10 of rank 5 org and some of the above rank which should occurs a lot of time with the size of the continent for important even but then it’s only used twice a year. The number of people travelling is ridiculous not counting travel time for each ceremony. For example, just Yang Qing judge friends, they are 5 and most went from outer core court to outer palace. That’s 15-20 promotions ceremony and they are around 23 and some. Just them alone are taking the supposed semi-annual quota for a couple of years. I could continue rambling about things that doesn’t make any sense but yeah I am skimping through the chapters to follow the general story and interesting bits, but it’s small pieces of gold here and there in a mountain of dirt.

The martial was talked in the info package of the beggar sage around chap 1850 and the primordial was mentionned here and there but mostly when he talked about the dark age of martial art with his grandmother around chaps 2050

I think you are mixing the Martial Primordial with the Martial. The Primordial is the first master, first sage and now Transcendant. The Martial is the first Martial artist to even be born due to the Divine Doctor, the Psycher and the Beggar sage 500 years ago. We still don’t know anything much about her past yet and what realm she reached in the past

I like the idea and find it refreshing but the execution left much to be desired. Leaving aside grammar and such, there’s a huge problem of info-dumping/world padding of useless stuff that would put slide of life to shame and horrible pacing. At chapter 200, we are not even a week into the novel. And most of it doesn’t even bring anything substantial to the plot. Also, there’s a lot of inconsistency in the world building. Specially the timeline of various stuff. The MC said he’s 23 but a couple of chapters later, his senior of 2 years has been inquisitor for 15 years. Other time his team member saved treasures for multiples years to afford something. That’s just pure math but it goes deeper with the timeline established related to cultivation. With the life expectancy described, they shouldn’t be able to be at the palace stage at their age. Also, the Order only existed for about 500 years but they have a buttload of soul realm expert from who knows where when 50000 years old clan had 3 in their total history. Finally, the cultivation system and art related to it is very shallow right now and not explored very much or in a meaningful way despite a lot of mention about art but its always about grade and not detailed. Same thing about the Dao, always mentioned on a surface level without any dept. A lot of potential, but wasted as it is now.

Author, while the general story is quite good and I enjoy the Mc, you need to stop beating around the bush with description. First they are too long and feel like incessant info dump and worse, they are often repeated for no reason and sometime in the same chapter. It breaks the flow of the novel and worse, make the novel seem like a task sometime instead of enjoying it. Finally, I’m not up to date and only at chapter 800, but for the sake of god, stop making everyone doesn’t believe his cultivation foundation it’s frustrating and reminding of too much of face slapping and young master syndrome brain rot novel. It’s ok to have the manipulation of impressive backing and all the mind game he’s playing, but they are ALL stupidly following with not 1 person trying to use their brain. Specially concerning the blessed. I know they kinda are a caricature of plot armor novel, but they are too stupid and following the same pattern. Specially concerning the female attached to the blessed.

Well I somewhat agree with a lot of the negative review specially since I initially dropped the novel for the same reason about the first 500 chapters being kinda boring and the way the author describe things and the general flow of the novel. But I read chap 1500 someday and it has improved a lot and went back to continue and now it’s one of my favorite novel, specially the world building. About relationship and characters interaction, it isn’t author strong suit but the novel isn’t focused on that and Mc is solitary but it is to consider if you are someone looking for that. Finally about the number of chapters that can be considered daunting, their length is very short so it wouldn’t be wrong to compare it to some novel with half the chapters and more word count.

It’s more the quantity of words vs quality of information and action transmitted. This novel feels like a download speed of 100kb/s waiting forever to finish. I read and skipped a little bit of chapters and each scene could be cut way more even if the writing and story in general is promising… this has nothing to do with the story itself, but more the writing style. I’m saying this as a reader who doesn’t have the writer perspective and each their own, and I have read a lot of novels either online or regular in different style and genre over the years, so I’m not a narrow minded teenager anymore, but you also have to adapt/improve to the audience and if you are looking to do this as a career, specially here and we kinda see it with the low views for over 1400+ chapters novel despite being in a popular trope with fantasy action with reincarnation. I suggest you exercice yourself to slash content that people wouldn’t even notice if omitted. It’s to find the balance between that and the world building and character dept that you seem to like to write. You are at the opposite side of the majority of authors here with retcon and dumb Mc with no common sense and it’s kinda a compliment, but you are doing it too much.

Would be funny to see her convert to Mecha pilot.
