Why? There’s several reasons. One, it has absolutely nothing to do with the writing quality if you’re talking about here. Sure that affects the reviews and comments but when it comes to the popularity of your novel/FF it’s about the premise. And this is just so much more interesting, now I can’t say anything about the objective comparisons between the two as I have not read enough of the second but that goes to show how much this specific premise entices us. You could write having tons of grammar and amateur writing mistakes and yet if the premise, the plot and the background are good. Or even if the premise is good, viewers will let it slide. So that’s what I think you should focus on, making an interesting premise, plot, background, and mc. The rest can come later.
