I'd say the long term benefit of marrying someone with low stats out ways the short term benefits of a naturally talneted wife. Points are renewable, so MC raising their stats to the big 100 is inevitable. If that's the case, doubling the stats MC gets out ways the price MC will have to pay in points imo

He defintly could get infintely stronger entries tho. Kill a few beast, use those beast to hunt a bunch of beasts at the same level. Make sure to have some beasts that could act as crowd control or smt to that affect, and within a few hours you'll have way more beasts than when you started. Then have this massive group of beasts jump one or two that are a major level higher. repeat till the power diffrence between one cultivation level becomes so vast numbers can't possibly make up for it. Tho, through the use of arrays, poison, and tactics i'm sure any gap in power could be bridged, except for maybe the gap between peak mortal and immortal. The only things in the way of this plan is being hunted down for having this entry and a finite number of beasts.

And turn the previously netrual party into enemies. The Cao family going this far just to send a message doesn't make the slightest bit of sense
