I have been asked this countless times... so I'll just say it. A power that would boost [Forge]'s Energy production, by a MERE 1.1x, would cost him 10 entire years. This is revealed in chapter 18. Using [Forge] to make [Forge] better in any way just isn't doable, at least not within the timeframe that Yoshiki has.
