You're half right. The story ended up like this for 2 reasons.For 1, I was originally planning on dropping the story at 20 chapters when I realized how long 16-17 years would've been to protray. So when I saw Oshi No Ko, it gave me a good window to just timeskip unimpeded. I took it. The second reason was because I ended up scrapping three chapters that would've built of Leo's relationship with not only Ai but Makima as well. I'm currently working on drafts, but my main focus is on the main chapters that are coming out.Sorry for the sudden jump in the story, I'll try to keep it coherent as it goes on.

Initially, it was just me referring to the MC and the devil as they/their, etc, I ended up getting carried away and using it for the rest of the chapter.
While lost in thought, Leo almost missed the blatant yellow taxi parked by the side of the street, with the word "TAXI" boldly written on its side. I haven't brought it up yet, but Leo's father has blond hair. He takes after his mother as far as looks go.
In her loving arms, Ai cradled the youngest twin, Aqua Tsukumo. The little toddler possessed golden blonde hair and beautifully matching blue eyes, a perfect blend of Leo's genes with the distinct touch of Ai's six-pointed eyes appearing on Aqua's right eye. However, there was an intriguing quirk about this little one—Aqua seemed to have an inexplicable disdain for Leo. Yuki realized that their research teams should be able to locate Leo's relatives easily, considering they had a foreign last name. If the police could establish contact with them, Yuki believed they could do the same. It was only a matter of time before they made progress in establishing that connection. With the information gathering complete, Leo knew he would have to test the extent of the ⬜⬜⬜ devil's power once he met with Takeshi's boss. The encounter would determine if the shared knowledge about the hell devil would be enough to solidify their alliance and serve Leo's ulterior motives.
