I think it’s because some people have a deep craving to be ‘special’ and ‘unique’ for some reason, to have or be something that no one else has/is, so sharing what makes you ‘special’ means that you aren’t ‘unique’ anymore. Personally I think this is also why people hate when the MC is cloned or shares their secrets/gifts so essily: they’re ‘diluting’ what makes them unique. Personally: I don’t care, because others might gain the same interesting traits of the protagonist one way or another but he’s the protagonist for a good reason, will he always effortlessly win? I hope not because that would be boring, but just because he loses every now and then or shares something doesn’t mean that he’s somehow lesser for it.

If I were jake then any sort of chance of a good romantic relationship with Keqing would have died a dog’s death after she basically said the only reason they didn’t kill me is because I haven’t been fully milked of my worth yet before they turned me into a pill. At that point I would be making plans to create a safe haven and leave. Is it an extreme response? Maybe, but being told your lifespan is only equal to your worth by someone who’s meant to care for you is simultaneously chilling and heartbreaking.

I should point out, that Staty/Night only happens 10 years after Zero because most of the mana in the Grail wasn’t used at the end of Zero, only some of it spilled out and caused the Fuyuki fire. With a wish being made it would likely take the original 50-60 years for the next grail war to happen.
