that earthbound immortal is broken can't be targeted for attacks, immune to spell and traps and even if you use monster effects to destroy or banish it resurrects the only way to deal with it is to send it back to hand or deck and do damage or stall for burn damage or instant win cards to resolve like final countdown

if you want to make things more complicated and fights drawn out in newer chapters add pendulum summoning but I would advise otherwise as fore more ideas for the deck I would say make it a draw based deck designed to draw the cards you need as well as be able to recover them should they we destroyed or banished. plus some added protection like a few targeted and non targeting negates. and maybe some one turn battle or damage negation or just an effect to protect against certain card effects
