I didn't mean 'death' as a concept but as part of rebirth, creation, and destruction. The Phoenix Force is not a being that only gives life, it also takes life so that it may be reborn. It understands that life/creation cannot exist as a singular concept without a force to balance it out, i.e. death/destruction.
As the inheritor of the Phoenix Force, Jean didn't just represent life but also death and destruction, and one could not exist without the other. It was only a matter of time until she would have to face this universal truth.

Once again calling onto the power bestowed to me by my nameless benefactor, I focused on what I wanted to achieve next as I activated Self-Creation again, to grant myself another power. This time though in comparison to before the pain was neither short nor bearable.

Well, to be more precise the stored energy will not be expended by his actions other than when he actively releases it. But the accumulation is very slow in normal cases and it takes a LOT of energy to turn this into real strength, which makes his next move an ingenious one.
The most important aspect of this ability, and also one of the reasons that it was an Omega-level ability, was that there existed no upper limit to the amount of energy that this matrix could contain as it would constantly strengthen itself with the influx of energy, while at the same time making me stronger and stronger, invincible even.

Still, the fact that I could take the lives of hundreds without being affected, was also something that made me feel as if I had taken another step away from my humanity, which was besides the fact that revenge ultimately proved itself a very hollow concept in itself.

Are you serious? How often do you want to comment this? At the start of the story I explained already that I changed his power to the Omega-level and didn't go with the comics.
She was an Omega-level mutant herself, as was Xavier, but neither of them could find the words to refute Hank's statement as the prowess the young mutant had displayed was just way beyond the scale of what a normal Omega-level mutant could do given the time that had passed since his awakening.

Dying painfully and in despair, Elijah Frost wakes up in a new reality, where he finally got the chance he had been denied before. Using his unique gift, he plans to wander the galaxy, as he enjoys the freedom his power grants him. ................................ This Fan-Fiction is a Crossover between the X-Men, MCU and the Marvel Comics. Rise of the Dragon - A Naruto Fan-Fiction

Born as a mistake and abondoned by his mother, Ryuma has to figure out how to survive in the hellhole that is the Shinobi World. Left with no other choice but to reach for unquestionable power to protect his own life and let his clan rise from the ashes, war and betrayal have left behind. To do that, Ryuma will not shy away from violence and death, knowing full well the price of life and peace. --- This is my take on what someone reborn in the Shinobi World has to do to ensure his own safety. The MC in this story isn't some teenage edge lord happy to play ninja in a world full of killers, but someone who clearly understand the danger he finds himself in after his rebirth. His heritage gives him certain advantages that he plans to use for the singular goal to survive in this world and create a place where he can just live in peace with those he cares about. The MC is calculating, but not manipulative. Rational, but not emotionless. Ruthless, but not a monster. The romance will probably be slow paced and probably not as graphic as my MCU FF, so don't be disappointed when reading the story. The Lone Wolf - A One Piece Fan-Fiction

Reborn as a shapeshifter, thus being granted incredible physical and spiritual talent, Lupin D. Black learned the hard way that the world he found himself in was by no means peaceful and fun. It is bloody, ruthless and unforgiving. All the things he has to become to survive and free himself of the shakles that weakness forced on him. --- So this is one of the first stories I ever wrote and I recently picked it up again to finish it once and for all. It is not without flaws though, as the MC is overpowered with a capital O, which some of you might dislike. At this point though I can't really change that without rewriting the whole things, so it is what it is. The MC is a training maniac with a passion for exploring the world at his own pace. He acts according to his own morals and worships freedom. He is a loner by nature and rarely shows interest in others, prefering his own company or that of his loved ones. Silverfire - A MCU Fan-Fiction

Silver Walker, burned to death and sent into the MCU on his own behest, has received a new chance at life. Taking over the body of Pietro Maximoff, he plans to show the whole galaxy why exactly you should fear a speedster and add some meaning to his life. The unexpected affection towards his new twin sister wasn't something he expected, but at the same time isn't something he could ever hope to resist. ................................ This story is my take on what it would be like for someone to transmigrate into Pietro Maximoff, partly because I find his ending in the MCU a pity and partly because I am a great fan of his superpower. This story contains incestuous behaviour on the Protagonist's part, as the romantic interest is Wanda Maximoff. So be warned when you read it. There will also be very sexual language, so if you aren't of legal age, you probably shouldn't read this. Violence, death and action are inevitable whenever a story takes place in the MCU or the Marvel Universe, so you can expect a healthy amount that as well. The most important thing to remember though is, that if you are searching for a story with power struggles and face-slapping, you should turn around as you won't find that here. The MC of this story is a mature adult and has his priorities straight. Fighting without a chance of success is a fool's errand, as is taking unnecessary risks. For me this story depicts how a transmigrator should act on his advantages to survive and gain power in a place as dangerous as the MCU. There is no place for immature brats and reckless fools in such a world.
