Breezed through it in a single seating. Never thought a fanfic with Danzo as the MC would be so enjoyable. The politics is very well done. The way Hiruzen Sarutobi is written is very convincing. In the canon, he wasn't presented as a grey character, but irl if someone with the highest position allowed Sakumo Hatake's suicide, Hizashi Hyuga's sacrifice, Orochimaru's defection and Uchiha ethnic cleansing, he's no saint. It's a Shounen Manga, so Kishi pinned all the blame on Danzo, but if written for adults, I'm pretty sure, Hiruzen would be similar to this fan-fic's version

Don't scare us with words like Goji berry tea. Usually such words are followed by body strengthening pills, dantian purifying breathing techniques etc

It's actually a good fanfic. Couldn't move past chapter 60 something. Ayano and Ayari sisters make this unreadable. The romance is sappy and their playful interactions are something that will only be enjoyed by those who haven't bonded with an opposite sex in their lives. The power-play, struggle and politics are the best things about this fanfic. Everyone has a reason for backstabbing eg Hiashi wasn't a saint himself, so Hizashi's betrayal, though cruel, is understandable. Canon Naruto was written for kids and teens so it wasn't dark but if that world existed, I believe it would go along the lines of this story eg Jiraya and Sarutobi pulling some strings and paving a way for Minato to be the Hokage. Giving it 3.6 for the sappy romance and, annoying interactions with the two Hyuga sisters. The original author of this story is exactly like Kishimoto, they just can't write nuanced and not one-dimensional Female characters.

Whenever Ayari's parts come, the story turns supercringey.

It's almost a ritual in Webnovel to have romance in the story. It's ok author, your story is already good, you needn't put sappy romance. The power struggle and politics make it very enjoyable. The Female character is just annoying and their interactions are very cringey. Just kill her if possible, that way you can give a new angle to the story.

stick to the war and politics pls. All the pseudo Ninja science and cringey partial romance is making this story dull. The scheming nature of the MC is what makes this so good.
