When compared to the rest Sony is way more mellowed down. This is due to the difference in operational goals of the entities behind the studios. Sony groups long term goal is different compared to other studios goal. Also all these take overs that you see only happens in WN. In our world they cannot out right behave like a thug. There are acts that protect the smaller studios as well. The only reason rest of the studios aren’t able to grow is due to this massive behemoth of the distribution system the big 6. So any “commercial mainstream” movie that was produced by any studio in Hollywood should be distributed by companies that were associated with big6. Other than them there are few more but their size is way less. So unless you are producing a small movie generally they don’t go to these tier 2 distributions. All the commercial movies most likely go through the tier 1 distributors.
