ok, my theorist self is tingling... i freaking called it. Sunless wont wear that mask any time soon. His entire narrative in the forgotten shore has been made with just truths. That means, If he were to just lie; A child could discern his ulterior motives. But whats even more interesting is the damn fact that Sunny Vs. Caster has been hinted at! From this author's past hints, Most battles have come true. Especially since Sunny and Caster are the exact opposites, I really want to see whether the author will kill him off or not. Like, Ik for sure caster gonna get his ass beaten. But still, Would love to see him be Sunny's rival and a proper antagonist if necessary. (Since neph and sunny will eventually resolve their differences) Now, Wut is caster hiding? ik for sure its gotta do something with Neph's fam and his fam. Neph's fam's fall hasn't been specifically clarified yet but caster seems way too knowledgeable about it(while most other legacies dunno jackshit) So, My guess is that Caster's fam may have been responsible for Neph's fam's downfall Or played a part in it Or stole Neph's resources after the family's heads died. Caster's family might have been preparing caster since a young age as a weapon to deal with Neph. that's why among all legacies, Caster is way too knowledgeable and tries to get way too close with Neph. Imagine wut other motive he has to get excessively close to a girl from a fallen clan? Respecting their glory? Caster pretty much only cares about his fam and himself. Maybe his frnds a little too. But, His character has never been naive nor straightforward enough to have such aspirations. Like when he tried to get Sunny's favour by manipulating Sunny(who was at a mentally unstable point), Caster is a real calculative bastard. At this point, gunu-whatever-i-don't-like-that-pos seems like a bait. I bet nephis will deal with him sooner or later. And, Caster will be the true antagonist here. Tho, I would love if he wasn't killed T.T caster should survive is simply because, He is the exact opposite of Sunny. From the start, He has been built up as the exact parallel of sunny. From the different backgrounds, different personalities, and different ways of doing things. The one thing they share in common is, currently not being completely trusted by neph. And sunny doesn't have much of an ulterior motive but Caster sure as hell has one. After all this build up, It would be two ways the author can handle his character. 1st, He dies. And people outside just commend on how difficult it was that even a legacy died. And this could be used by sunny to reinforce the narrative that he is just a lucky bastard that's gonna laugh at how a legacy died and he is better blah blah. 2nd, He lives. In this iteration, Caster and Sunny will have more than an awkward relationship. While other cohort members are frnds with sunny, Caster is not. He has already seen Sunny's strength and Unless sunny comes up with a deal or simply kills him, Caster will make it public about how sunny is strong af. To which, I say is brilliant because I want to see how sunny would prevent caster from leaking that info. And especially, how sunny enters the dirty politics of awakeners. If the author doesn't do it, I think its a missed opportunity for a perfect entry of Sunny with the political world(which author has hinted a lot that sunless needs to get involved in at one point or other)
